Omnis
I personally would just look at coinmarketcap, and add any coin in the top 10 with decent volume. DASH, XMR, ETC, ZEC, FCT consistently tend to have high volume.

tomb
Why not all of them? There is an exchange called Poloniex that does rather well by evaluating and adding all the coins with potential.

cmbartley
I'd think very carefully about this. Gatehub has an opportunity to allow users to trade exotic pairs through XRP. There are a lot of exotic tokens that have strong followings but few places to trade those tokens. Holders are also frustrated by having to go through BTC to trade those tokens. I think this forum is the wrong place to ask this question, I would go to forums for other tokens to get a sense for whether they are looking for more exchanges to trade on and why. I would focus on attracting new customers rather then trying to get current customers to hold more assets on gatehub, that will happen naturally if there are more traders. Communities to investigate include: XMR, DASH, LTC, FCT, DCR, ZEC, GNT etc. I would literally go down the line on coinmarketcap, find the major communities for each token, and ask what would attract them to a new exchange and see if you can offer that. Personally I'd like to see FCT and DCR on the Ripple network. Edited March 25, 2017 by cmbartley rippleric, inative, mazi and 5 others
in-cred-u-lous
I was linked here from the Sia Slack during a conversation with XRPChat member cmbartley. I am a newcomer to this forum but a long-time XRP user. I would argue that Siacoin is a very good match for XRP and Gatehub . Siacoin stands among so-called "altcoins" as having a very specific utility. Siacoins are required to pay for distributed cloud storage on the Sia network. Furthermore, Siacoins are required for announcing hosts on the network, paying host collateral and for bandwidth. Siacoins are also involved in securing the network, from PoW mining and (very soon) to prevent Sybil attacks through proof-of-burn. Therefore, anyone that wishes to use the Sia network for storing data, or selling storage space, need to transact in Siacoins. Since Siacoin is a token with measurable utility, the cost of acquiring the tokens need to be calculated into the price of hosting storage on the network. The higher the transactional costs, the more expensive file storage on the Sia network becomes. For this reason, exchange mechanisms need to exist that lower these costs. Today, the costs are high, since fiat needs to be transferred to a bitcoin exchange (banking fees) exchanged into bitcoins (more fees) and then into Siacoins on an altcoin exchange (more fees; and then in the reverse when extracting hosting profits for fiat). Gatehub will lower the cost of storage on the Sia network through providing a more direct mechanism for businesses and individuals that want to buy and sell storage on the Sia network. Because the costs of acquiring Sia will be lower than current exchange routes, many users should choose to transact through Gatehub for their Siacoin needs. Adding Siacoin as a token available through the Gatehub XRP gateway is therefore a win-win for both Sia users and Gatehub. schap, ltrading, Chan_Maddanna and 2 others

In a way, it will make what Gatehub stands for. Also, finding value ahead of others, before world discovers is a great trait for exchanges as well. @in-cred-u-lous ( as tricky the name and its meaning is ) is right 'sc' is not fighting with anyone, nor it is rewriting what others have written. It was born out of brilliant MIT code-fest and has a very clear business purpose. the business case - that is a distributed encrypted storage on cloud is indeed very innovative, the storage is by nature ISO/IEC 27040 compliant. sooner or later the world will realize this (mainly financial, regulatory and underwriting world). Currently they go to great stretch to implement separate encryption solution etc with AWS & Google cloud. I understand there might not be short term profit & volume value and that might be required for sustainable of Gatehub. But it can be one of the coin's added as future proofing & lottery. Similarly, i would encourage Gatehub to be ahead of the game, and look for new projects that are yet to release to the markets (mainly as you already have integrated ETH, very easy to add other contract based coins, example : Humaniq is another ETH based coin that has very clear purpose and mainly intends to reach African general rural population, owing to the fact that however underprivileged, but because of western businesses Mobile connectivity is pretty solid throughout the country - a strategic advantage ) , similarly also check Lunyr - which is based on a hybrid knowledge-library based system Then there are a whole new platforms coming up (check Korean boscoin that is boldly trying to replace ETH and does not cut any corners or mince words about it). initially i thought its too much, but after seeing what they got, they do have 'solid' reason and purpose. So in summary i understand you might have to add coins that will bring immediate business and add to the balance sheets. but also i request stay 'ahead' of the game and in a 'meaning-full/purpose-full' way. good luck. Rchopra
Aud with direct deposit from australia and INR ( indian rupee) with direct deposit from India ( looking at the 1.2 billion population if it gets popular in india 100 billion xrp will be taken in no time ( its less than 100 xrp per person lol) which may support the price significantly. Thats why miguel said xrp will be available in india by end of the quarter 2 and in australia by end of this year.
