Popular Post JoelKatz
Some enhancements could be made to the XRP Ledger to provide better support for emerging use cases in decentralized finance. For example, validations could be augmented to include the last fully-validated ledger. This would permit validators to automatically operate as oracles and allow, for example, users to prove to Ethereum smart contracts that particular things happened on the XRP Ledger. This post is one suggestion for an enhancement to the XRP Ledger. JoelMcD
Yep, I think this one's a winner. Malloy
Sukrim
I'd like to see something concrete... "the last fully validated ledger" is already over 1 GiB without inner nodes, if this refers to ledger state. Do you mean only the transaction trie? Or how should a "validation" look like in this case? 8 hours ago, JoelMcD said: Yep, I think this one's a winner. Why do you think that, what's your proposed implementation? I see anything that improves interoperability as a good thing. In this case, you'd be making it easier for smart contracts, which will underpin stock trades, derivatives, etc, to operate on their ledger of choice (Ethereum, cardano, hedera, whatever) and still take advantage of XRPL for settlement. Sukrim
So what exactly would I write in my ERC20 contract/program to interact with XRPL that's not currently possible? Jerrybo and tulo 1
Jerrybo
I agree here (again ) with @Sukrim: I'd like to see something concrete. We need to unterstand a current issue that needs to be solved. As he said "...that's not currently possible". Without a specific issue we could tend to just implement a solution for a problem that doens't really exist. tulo
I don't see a possible implementation for this. Clarification?
