What New MoneyGram’s Expansion Means for Ripple XRP’s Price and Success

Think about the infrastructure and plumbing to transfer value as the engine that drives cross border transfers and payments.

What does that engine run on ?  Well the gas is XRP, eventually someone somewhere will have to hold it in order to facilitate transfers in and out of Fiat. ... .. and lots of it ... even though there are 99 Billion of them, eventually demand will meet and hopefully exceed supply.

However, when that occurs is anyone's guess but this should be a very good long term bet if Ripple is even only 50% successful in their efforts to drive adoption.

That’s been @Ripple‘s mantra but nothing to show for it.

Banks want the tech but not the crypto, else we’d see xRapid volumes increase already.

It depends on your perspective and  your start date .. circulating supply has been increasing steadily.. price has not obviously .. that means demand at least kept pace with the increasing supply, otherwise we would be at .02cents instead of .40cents.

.. and don't presume you know everything that goes on behind the scenes by just judging on external appearances ..

Based on the MG deal, any major corporation can expect to see a HUGE bump in their stock just by announcing adoption of Ripple technology but poor XRP will go down in valuation.

 Why?

It's an old M&A law: Shares of the target company go up, shares (in this case xrp) of the acquiring company go down. This at least short term.

I have owned XRP for several years now, since 16, when I saw it on Bitstamp and I thought it was an insect beverage.

I have made quite a lot of money off of it. But I would have been better off to have just left my position and gone back over to Lite Coin, where I made a lot more money.

I hate Bitcoin on principal, its the klepto-crypto.  I am for some reason loyal to XRP.

(I wish I could say it is because of the "community", but I come from the old BTCE troll box and most of you guys seem like  morons and I would not even urinate in your beer glass if your stomach was on fire.)

I guess out of habit, I like to look at the XRP charts, and I believe in many of the concepts, but Ripple does little to protect its true investors, us baghodlers.

XRP  continues to slip in relation to the total Crypto market cap. After a while Ripple  just cannot maintain the continued hype sufficient to attract investors.  Much of it has to do with the obvious fact, XRP fits within the Howie definition and, but for, its centralization to to defend the litigation and maintain some direction, it would go back down into the teens.  The company has let out oodles of cheap coins and continues to dump mega amounts into the market to fund its operations.

But, I have seen it being outrun before and then it would take off.  But now it is so diffusely placed and there is always tremendous sale pressure as all the bots dump with every incremental rise.

But it will rise again and we will be rewarded.  But this time I am dumping too.

Ripple Labs is just another sad example of how a truly honorable company, with superhero intentions of ending the world’s poverty, by bringing wealth to the poor, simply made a few honest mistakes, and accidentally ended up as  billionaires themselves, while the world’s underbanked poor folks remained unchanged. There is no way out for RL, they will simply have to keep buying more tailored suits and burn that private jet fuel parading around the world showing us their capes.

Seen it before, the road to one’s wealth is disguised as good intentions, because there are always masses that will trade cash for their belief in the ridiculous myths.

But what your implying is that they don’t deserve to get rich on the way, why shouldn’t they? We don’t live in a marvel comic. They absolutely deserve to get rich if they achieve their goals. Jeez in your world people should just help the world for free and live in trash bins!

They don’t deserve to get rich under a false premise. The world’s poor needs to help themselves. Everyone has boot straps, and can pull themselves up. If you believe it is some one else’s responsibility to provide your wealth, you should to go back to your Bernie Sanders rally.

RL business plan: “Sell” banks software that does not require XRP. Spread the message that “Banks are partnering with RL”  Trade XRP for cash from the believers that do not understand why unproductive nations are poor in the first place.

Repeat...

Man there’s a lot of garbage in this thread from known fudsters that have only trash to say @codiusrex

and then a couple of new sad sapps that need to sell @Valhalla_Guy & @Sporticus

what I don’t get with you guys is, if you don’t believe in the project and you think ripple is garbage.

Why don’t you just sell and move on with your lives , why do you stay on xrpchat and continue to spread your pessimistic outlook and fud.

Most have them have sold, and still hang around posting nuggets of wisdom when the opotunity strikes.

@Valhalla_Guy

False premise....in your opinion.

Just to be clear your saying that if we have some tech to "bank the unbanked" to improve the ways we contribute charity or payment flows in and out of poorer countries. We should just say no and tell them to put their backs into it? If i misunderstood your post then please clarify.

And they post trash on a thread about moneygram and sentbe partnership which is not just a white paper but real world ****.

like money is going to move via xrp and moneygram.

theyre not using trash like lite coin or any other digital asset.

we are in there just writing checks to cash later and these peasants come and spread fud. I’m good on their “wisdom” lol

and if you stick around xrpchat after you’ve sold you just want to be right, and you are hoping others come to your enlightenment or you were right aka they go down. But one day I hope to laugh in the digital face of some of these fudsters.

How do you not understand that we (us), are not Ripple's "true investors"? Ripple the company + Brad are not concerned with "retail speculators", as we play no role in what their core objective(s) are. By us "holding bags", we're not even providing liquidity, which is one of the biggest variables in driving price (something we all want).

We're still in the wild west...

.. Couldn't agree more.. you would think these guys have better use of their time than to preach to stubborn people like us ...

My own logic goes like this...

  • I don't have enough invested to care a whole lot whether xrp goes to zero or not.
  • I do have enough invested that it could improve the quality of my retirement portfolio if it really takes off.
  • I'm willing to give ripple the benefit of the doubt as I don't see really strong evidence that their intent is just to make money off XRP sales rather than grow the ecosystem slowly.

It's getting rather tiresome here to have to wade through so many negative comments which contribute absolutely nothing of value to the space except to harp on the same theme ad nauseum, so please do us a favour and please leave us alone and stop trying to convert us .. You are free to invest or not as you please, we just ask that you let us enjoy the same rights in peace ...

@Ripple doesn’t have the balls to give speculators info because it’s a charade like Stellar & Tron. Nothing to show anyone except $$millions worth of expenses that have nothing to do with cross border payments.

ok. found out for the first time how to use ignore users and their posts.. I'm reserving that for those annoying people that keep belly aching on the same theme over and over and over again ..:)
