A loss will hurt you more than a gain of the same magnitude will please you.

We see this here a lot.  So much wailing and gnashing of teeth on the downswing.  Blame the leaders, or the coders, or yourself, or other people on the internet for influencing you.  But on the pump it's pat yourself on the back for being so smart while wearing happy faces lined with doubt.

Your idea is very interesting, I'm really suprised. I think this psychological subject is very important in our century when people get addicted to something so fast, because of our lifestyle. Gambling can be very dangerous if you don't understand some important things. For example, I am also a player, I use the casino betboo, but I understand that I do it just for my pleasure, for fun, and not because I'm addicted. In my opinion, gambling can help control yourself, understand when you should stop, and be very confident in your own thoughts. Betboo helped me a lot to improve these skills and understand how can I really be.

I have known (and known of) many successful poker players.

Which nearly zero exceptions, they are all perpetually dissatisfied and frustrated in general.

It's possible, that never being satisfied is simply an enduring survival trait :)

Well even the billionaires don't seem to be happy.  They're still working, still earning, still looking for that perfect partner.  To know when you've achieved satisfaction, I guess you'd have to be able to measure satisfaction.  There's no universal one-size fits all people way to do that.  Some think satisfaction comes from having more stuff, then there's a whole religion based around finding happiness from owning nothing.

Brainwave: :dthinking: Maybe we need to try both poverty and excess?  Hey, I've already got poverty ticked off, so I'm halfway there.

Thanks for sharing this important video. Jordan Peterson is a great man. Love him or hate him because of his political views but his intelligence can't be questioned. I think that people gamble because they wanna have fun in their boring lives, they wanna win easy money, and they surely don't like to lose. Therefore people become addicts because they don't wanna accept that they can lose. I sometimes gamble on เสือมังกร and notice that I'm not satisfied when I lose. But I like gambling because my life isn't that beautiful and great.
