MonkeyKong
Hello guys, I tried to test out the escrow function on tipbot, but it didn't work out. It looks like escrow was successfully released, but I never received my xrp on my Nano s Wallet. Can anyone please help? Thanks! I also tried with my nano wallet but there was no escrow option on bithump. Thanks again for the video though. Flintstone

You don't need the secret key of the wallet that created the escrow to release ("execute") it. You just need the secret key for any activated wallet, and create the transaction to release the escrow using that wallet, as per instructions from 1:36 in the video. Thanks for your response, but I can't get to the escrow menu without it. I don't know how to release escrow from the Tipbot. I thought it was automatic, but it never came to my wallet. at3n
Both of your escrows have been executed already, automatically by XRP Tip Bot. I won't post the tx hashes for the sake of your privacy, but they're right there in the list of transactions if you look up your address on Bithomp. It shows 0 XRP on the list of transactions but if you click into the transaction you can see you received 10 XRP for one and 5 XRP for the other. PS. a friendly suggestion, if you really want to keep your address private, you shouldn't provide so much information.

However, I haven't received xrp from escrow. I have it sent it to my nano wallet. It's been almost a month. It's not very many xrp so it's ok, but I want to learn how to use escrow option. I checked my tipbot and the lock icon is still locked. I was wondering if it has to change to 'unlock' icon. Thanks.

Assuming that the escrow's destination wallet is the address of your Nano, and that now we're agreed that the escrow was in fact released, then the XRP must be on your Nano. The total balance reported by Bithomp is correct, e.g. it includes the XRP released by the escrows. I'm not sure why you think that it's not on the Nano. Is it because the Ledger Live software is not displaying it as an incoming transaction? Even if that's the case, the total balance displayed by Ledger Live should be correct (the same as Bithomp). If they're not the same, that's a bug on Ledger Live, but you do actually have the released XRP on your Nano. I don't know about the lock symbol on XRP Tip Bot, but in any case, the XRP Ledger shows that the XRP have been released to you, so it seems like you did use the escrow function successfully, and you just maybe need to learn how Ledger Live reports it. My ledger live is up to date...and the total number of XRP hasn't changed which tells me it never came to my wallet. I sent xrp from Xrptipbot to my ledger wallet and it worked just fine. Only escrow function didn't work for some reason

at3n
7 hours ago, MonkeyKong said: Yes, they are the same. Then Ledger Live is reporting your balance correctly, including the escrow releases. You must have not noticed when the release happened (which was at the exact time you specified on XRP Tip Bot). Even if Ledger Live wasn't showing the correct balance, the total amount would still be on the Nano, it would just indicate a bug in the software, but your XRP would be totally safe and in your wallet.
