Looks like they are anticipating growth in the market perhaps...?

————————————————————————-

Dear Uphold Member,

We've opened more than 3,000 accounts a day recently as growing numbers of customers around the world discover Uphold's speed, convenience and versatility for accessing different asset classes seamlessly. We now offer 10 digital currencies/utility tokens, two stablecoins for the US Dollar and Euro, 23 fiat currencies and four precious metals.

Many of our customers have been asking for higher deposit limits, and today we're pleased to announce new Customer Tiers that will give our most active users far greater flexibility and buying power, as well as enhanced bank connectivity.

Our new Customer Tiers will launch formally in the coming weeks, but I'm delighted to tell you now that based on your transaction history we've upgraded you immediately to a new Customer Tier called Uphold Flex.

The following benefits* are available to you right away:

U.S. bank account transfers with $10k daily, $50k monthly deposit and withdrawal limits.

Eurozone bank transfers with unlimited deposits and €50k daily withdrawal limits.

Visa/Mastercard deposit limits of up to $500 daily and $1500 weekly.

Eligibility for token awards.

Early access to new products.

If you'd like a preview of our other Customer Tiers and their eligibility criteria, please click here. Our aim is to create a clear path for you to move up through the new Tiers, with higher Tiers carrying more benefits. Upgrades to higher Tiers will depend on your transaction history, as well as your willingness to share more information about yourself with us (which we'll use for internal risk assessment only, and never share externally).

You may wish to apply now for one of our highest Tiers, where daily deposit/withdrawal limits of up to $250K are available. If you do, please join our waiting list here so that we can get you into one of the top Tiers as soon as they go live.

With our new Tiers, we hope to advance the unparalleled convenience, transparency and improved access that defines our mission.

Enjoy your new benefits!

JP Thieriot
Chief Executive Officer

* If you already have pre-approved, higher limits, they will remain unchanged.

Thanks @Archive

Looks like the most anyone can do at this point is signup on the wait list for elevated tiering. I looked at the additional requirements and it’s basically additional KYC stuff to increase buy and sell limits. I signed up as well.

I did a chat with a ‘Carlos H’ in customer service there and I actually broke the news to him. Seems like it would have been better to perhaps email everyone in the company first if supervisors aren’t passing information down.

Regardless, I think it’s a good sign for enabling us pee-on retail investors to help the bulls get out of the pen and into the streets.

Interesting that they will be forcing upgrades and additional verification for users as their activity builds.

Checked out the tiers and some of the benefits and limits are really interesting.  Still my favorite place to get my zerps and will continue to do business with them even if the fees are on the high side.

This Carlos H fellow seems to get around as I think I've had the pleasure of chatting with him on multiple occasions.  If memory serves me correct he was underwhelming when answering basic questions so maybe he just missed the memo.  Find it hard to believe they would not communicate this rollout firmwide before blasting the userbase with notifications.
