Plikk
I'd rather have XRP priced @ 10$, but I'll take it. Roaring_Twenties, GiddyUp, Lzoxrp and 1 other 1
Babelly
Do we think this will actually attract new Xrapid customers? Don't think their target audience is getting reached here IMO unless its purpose is to promote services offered by Mercury FX and others utilizing Xrapid. Google is invested in Ripple so it makes sense to a point I guess Edited May 7, 2019 by Babelly spelling
elppir
If it's true it is nice for the exposure! Would be great if the ad shows up financial related sites. I tried to find an advertisement but found none online... Edited May 7, 2019 by elppir
RipDip
Am I not the only one that finds this pointless? The financial services that are in need of xrapid will find xrapid without the assistance of an ad campaign. The masses that might gain some exposure will have no use for xrapid on a personal basis. Guest
For those that didn't read the article The Ad campaign is promoting low-cost remittances to Mexico and the Philippines, a service being offered by the well-known UK remittance company, Mercury FX which makes use of xRapid X liquidity solution. It's not advertising xRapid, it's advertising low cost remittances. While also increasing product recognition.
VanGogh
I like it. As @LordVetinari said this one is targeting a newly opened corridor. But also, I would like it even as general exposure. I remember not too long ago seeing ads for PayPal before it was who they are today. And later adds for Square. I had no idea what they were, but the repetition paid off. I use them both today regularly. Ripple is making themselves known in industry and soon households. XRP will follow. cryptoxrp, Cesar1810, GiddyUp and 1 other
Guest
This is a tried and true marketing strategy used by the likes of Microsoft, Apple etc. I see nothing wrong with it nor is it a waste of time. @LordVetinari pretty much summed it up "It's not advertising xRapid, it's advertising low cost remittances. While also increasing product recognition. " If you can recall Microsoft started Marketing Windows to consumers heavily after their initial misstep with the business market not that they gave up on that market but they needed a new approach to sure it up and what better than to Market to the users of the services. At the root of every business model is the individual customer and if you can purposely drive individuals to act as a unit when it comes to decisions you really have something there. aavkk
As others have stated the ad is focused around remittences but wouldn't this also help with Coil adoption having that brand (XRP) recognition? The more people hear or see XRP and/or Ripple the better. I like every bit of this especially because these ads are definitely not in lieu of hiring the best people and investing in their people and ecosystem. It's all in addition to it. panmores
Article doesn't mention a source, no single fact, nothing. Plain rubbish. princesultan
Sharkey
Hmmmm, interesting, indeed. I'm not concluding that this is "rubbish," in fact it may be a very clever move, but I'd like to see an actual ad, and get a sense of how it's targeting the intended audience.
