By far most transaction types are OfferCreate and OfferCancel

Yes, good point, forgot about offers -  - but remember that today there is little demand for payments.

The bigger value-added transactions will dominate the ledger, the most frequent being orders and payments, so it is my belief that payments tend to gain space as the ledger serves real rails.

WTF? The genesis block was mined on December 21st as far as I recall and history until the beginning of Jan. 2013 was lost, making ledger 32570 the current effective genesis ledger. This one predates February 17th 2013 by more than a month. What happened on that date to be considered the "birth" of RCL?

It was the first "public" transaction, I believe. @JoelKatz can correct me if I'm wrong.

I won't be overexcited about this part. Minding today's dump (and everyone's depression here and on twitter), this sentence looks like a hasty "answer" to the situation. Just some good words to calm people down. Which is not bad actually, but... you know, it is zerp. Nothing's done until it's done.

Just the daily dose of pessimism so common around here.

1000tx/s.

Nice but I think VISA can handle 10,000tx/s. We are far from this goal nope?

How can we achieve 10,000tx/s? Is it possible one day?

(Correct me If I'm wrong)

Unlimited tx/sec is possible with payment channels

oh yeah Paychan you're right! I forgot it

Now channels are off ledger. Is there a way to improve it without sidechains?
