Ripple Launches First Fiat ILP Connector

During the ILP Summit 2019, the team behind the development of ILP including Vanessa Pestritto launched the first ILP—Fiat connector. In a presentation by Stephen Thomas, the co-founder of InterLedger, a streaming payment demo was carried out at the summit.

The payment method impressed those present at the event. According to XRP Research Center, the ILP fiat system “could be a huge step forward towards interoperability with traditional systems and critical mass adoption.” Vanessa Pestritto, a director at Xpring, tweeted about this event, expressing her excitement of this adoption driving development. Through a tweet she said “#StreamingPayments @InterLedger #demo by @kava_labs @KevinJYDavis swap BTC, ETH and XRP using Interledger SDK Switch.”

Link has poisoned DNS

What he means is his computer has an infection browser hijacker and he's being redirected. Probably from investing too heavily into the Verge coin & p0rn.

What does it mean "FIAT ILP"???

There is a connector on ILP which have provided FIAT in exchange for some crypto currency, maybe XRP, maybe ETH. It seems from the text that the connector is supposed to be active going forward. Need more information.

In fact the FIAT ILP is true.

Hey Bull ... hope all is well :drinks: ... Either the author has left out key information from a 'FIAT ILP connector' demonstration that might have been given, or he's alluding to another presentation that we know was given, and that Vanessa had been tweeting about. He mentions this tweet:

By which we can see from the slides that this is a presentation of Kava Labs' Switch-API (unless I have this wrong?)

There is nearly %100 chance that I'm missing something - so please point it out. Either way, seeing all of what has come out of that event over the weekend has been a real treat, and I can't wait to see some video. Needing to brush up on Strata Labs. -- h/t @jn_r  @RareData
