It seems unlikely that this extension in any way is endorsed by Google. At the link below it is said that the extension is provided by RA Dynamics, while the "news source" claims google themselves have put the word XRP in their mouth. I wish! This is simply an integration of XRPtipbot functionality in some random google chrome extension, nothing to get overly excited about.
