pucksterpete
So, I have been having some trouble lately. It all started yesterday when trying to move some xrp from poloniex to bitstamp, I had forgotten to enter in the dest tag and eventually received an error on polo, the mod in the troll box, reversed the xrp back into the acct and i resent it with a dest tag to bitstamp. Now it took over 2 hrs for it finally show up on bitstamp. makes no sense. I decided to send 2 more small xrp deposits to bitstamp, same thing on the 2nd deposit, 2 hrs here is the best one yet, the 3rd deposit, it was sent at 10:15pm and it arrived at 7:30am this morning, 9.5 hrs later, are you serious! WTF So i have sent numerous emails to support of bitstamp and all is get in response is, Quote "thanks for your feedback, we will pass it to our technical team and get back to you" I just sent a small deposit to poloniex to see how long it would take to be received, status shows Pending after a few minutes. I prefer to use bitstamp over polo. polo's interface or engine gets hung up too much while on the exchange view. Is there anyone else out there that is experiencing problems with bitstamp, whether its deposits or withdrawals? I did do a withdrawal from bitstamp back to my xrp wallet and had no problem, a few minutes. I really would like to get to the bottom of this problem. Thanks for listening Pete Edited February 18, 2017 by pucksterpete
pucksterpete
i just sent 50xrp from gatehub to bitstamp and looking at the transaction on ripple charts i get this Quote STATUS: This transaction was successful, and validated in ledger 27764943 on February 18, 2017 1:41 PM. cmbartley
I withdrew from Kraken and deposited XRP into Bitstamp and it took about 30s after the transaction had been processed by Kraken.
cmbartley
It looks the deposit is viewable in my "Total Account Value" but is not tradeable or sellable yet.
namini
When you withdraw from Polo to Bitstamp, could be Polo taking a long time to process the transaction not Bitstamp or maybe Bitstamp verify some transactions manually, idk. Cryptos are complicated anyway.

I'm going to give bitstamp a call tomorrow, seeing their emails back to me have been non -informative

pucksterpete
So, here is the recent reply back from Bitstamp regarding the deposit issues Quote We were experiencing some delays with the nodes that we were using, but everything should be back to normal now. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. delay with nodes? why would you have delay with nodes?
pucksterpete
and another reply back Quote Please kindly note that we credit our users as soon as the validated ledger is available. In addition to this, please also note that the delay you encountered was probably due to the connectivity issues we were experiencing in the past few days. Everything should function normally now. guess that explains it, lets do a test....
cmbartley
hmm, that is strange. I guess we should try it again. The nodes shouldn't have caused the difference in time between my deposit being acknowledged and it being available... strange. I guess I'll try another small deposit later this week. cmbartley
I think if more people learned how quickly XRP becomes available in their Bitstamp account they'd become much more interested in it... I still think there's a use case for XRP as a way to rapidly send value from one exchange to another. pucksterpete and vickyhunter
