Epic Pennant on BTC Chart

Totally expect Bitcoin to go much, much higher but as a percentage gain I expect XRP to outperform Bitcoin, especially from here.    My price targets are no secret.  I was calling for Bitcoin to go to $400k for a few years now.  XRP I expect to break $10 at least and maybe go to $20.

If XRP gets to $10 that would be a 35x move.

For Bitcoin to move 35x from here it would be close to $1million well $945,000.

I'm surprised you're not asking why I don't put everything into XRP.  (I'm more confident in Bitcoin than XRP and always have been.  Also I don't want to sell any crypto till I cash out, but I don't want to miss out on XRP's move either)

But if I had spare cash, which I don't, I'd be buying XRP.  The last purchase I made of Bitcoin which I announced on this board was at like $3k-$4k.  As a rule I buy when coins are down, not when they are making new all time highs, so I have no plans to buy Bitcoin anytime soon.  If I every buy more Bitcoin it will probably be in 2022 or 2023 which should put us a the bottom of the cycle.

You really expect XRP to reach $10 or $20 even during the current climate? I fully expect its price to be surpressed during this rally because of the SEC situation and I think it will further decline when the rally is over.

If you purchased Bitcoin at 3k then you've done well. However, if you think XRP will multiply by 40x then surely you'd cash out some Bitcoin and re-invest in XRP now.

This rally will last about a year.  I fully expect XRP to have recovered from the SEC lawsuit by then even if it is not settled (which it probably will be).  After Bitcoin has peaked I expect XRP to really go crazy as people looking for the next Bitcoin buy into the market, much like 2017-2018.

I'm not moving anything into XRP except ready cash which I don't have, I'm hedging my bets, like I said I'm more confident in Bitcoin than XRP.  I also own NEO, OMG and LTC.

I'm not new to this - I've been in this market since Oct of 2013.  For new guys that haven't gotten to experience what a crypto bull market is like I realize it hard to look at something that has almost tripled and be told that the real moves haven't really even started yet.  But if it plays out like it has in the past that is exactly the case.

Couldn't have said it better Eric. Only people in this space in 2017 and before could understand.

Long-term, XRP could be fantastically successful. I'm concerned XRP may miss out on any alt-coin rally in this cycle because of this SEC bombshell, so the timeline for whatever price expectations may be significantly delayed. Crypto is crypto, so fundamentals may not matter at all in the end and XRP may continue as expected. Exchanges removing XRP from trading will definitely cause major issues though and that is what I am watching closely.

I've been in Bitcoin since 2013 as well. I remember in mid 2013 when BTC hit $150. Some people were freaking out and panic selling because the price had already gone up 10 x that year. By year's end, it was approaching $1,000. I agree that we are in the beginning stages of this bull run. I expect BTC to be at least $100K by mid 2021 and I think XRP has much higher potential.

You think OMG is still worth buying or is this a hold over from last bull run?

It depends on your risk tolerance.  I think it's a long shot, but the project is still being worked on.  With good news it could easily rise in price.  When ALT season hits I'd expect OMG to participate.  I'd say XRP is a safer bet especially at .28, but do some research.  Start with the link below.

Based on your experience, how much do fundamentals actually matter? I am reaching the conclusion that fundamentals play a minor role, it is all about hype, potential gains and greed. What is your view?

There have been a few "flash in the pan" cryptos, but hype alone won't sustain a project for years.  Here' a link to a list of almost 100k coins that have fallen by the wayside.

I think the Team is the most important part.  There aren't many heavyweights in Block chain yet, as they are being developed now.  But if I were looking for new projects to invest in, I'd look for those with a solid team that has the support of established names.  To that end probably the heaviest of the heavy weights (pun totally intended, I wish he'd eat a sandwich, I worry about him) Vitalik has come out in support of OMG

Totally off topic but that’s just genetics. Maybe he naturally has a very low appetite or his body consumes an insane amount of calories to sustain itself (or a bit of both). Some people stuff their faces all day long and stay relatively lean. I am one of those people BUT I am also physically active. Some people seem to be able to do what I do without being physically active. I’m sure they have some rare genetic traits that make it so.

Even with the current FUD, I'd still say XRP is a way "safer" bet than OMG. I've held OMG for three years, and there's been periods where the project has been completely dead, which I think is very worrying. Not much has happened in these years, and by now I can't say I expect much in terms of returns. Not saying stay away, but don't expect much. I'm not planning to sell btw.

Same here, Captain.

Eventually I moved out most of my OMG into NEO, back when it seemed they might have support of the PRC's government...

Haha, I also hold NEO, which I bought at the same time. My NEO is stacked safely along with my OMG on an exchange where I keep all my terrible decision purchases from that time period. I call it my "WTF was I thinking"-account.
