Epic Pennant on BTC Chart

Personally I think XRP, being no 3 in the CMC and having a strong utility case will outperform other crypto in the coming bull run.   It moves very fast when it goes and it has a longer harder consolidation between 2017 - 2020 (because it went up 33000% in 2017 which was much more to digest than other crypto) Of course nothing is certain in this world.

A simple calculation tells me that if you investment is 100K and you are 50K up, you have a big bag.  If XRP goes up to $1 you will be well about 140K in profit, it it reaches an ATH (3.3) you will be more like half a million in profit which will probably be better than you Chinese car firm will do.  It seems to me highly likely your investment in XRP is going to be a very rewarding investment over 2021, given that the cycle of 2017 seems at last to be repeating itself and ARP will probably reach last ATH again and more.

Thank you, yes, hopefully it will, but I am not keeping my hopes up.

2018-2019, I had hopes because utility was going up and I was checking https://utility-scan.com/ during 2020, hoping utility will increase the price. This did not last long.

My next hope lies in "regulatory clarity" in United States, but that does seem far away. Trump administration won't do anything and Biden will have his hands full with Middle East.

Are you are retard?

hmmm name calling....... when I bought tons @0.005 & cashed out a nice chunk @ATH, I would say I did pretty good, to hold the rest through a bear market, no sweat....but, I understand your problem, you did buy in 2017, but forgot to sell, ah your fault.
You probably want to keep to doing WordPress templates, crypto is too stressful for you....

but you bought in 2017, so what's the problem?

the problem is he's not happy because gains are not enough, what a stupid thing to sad about isnt it?

he's furious because he's impatient and want XRP to moon already, 3 years to him is like 30 years

i bet he's the kind of guy who wants to bring the girl to the hotel on first date, skyrocket all the way

calm down kid, your avatar shows you're a grown man, act like it and have some patience, if you're in the crypto space in general you would know we pump in 4 year cycles, of course some would pump much earlier, if everything will only pump after 4 years then there will be no surprises, nothing is static, there will be some exception cases

I don't do trading, I already make enough on my companies.

I am not bragging, I am making a comparison.

Why do you guys think everyone is trading? I never sold any of my investments.

LOL, shut up with patterns and triangles already.

Just last week, everyone was saying XRP moving with BTC, well, BTC has already increased and passed ATH by 10%. XRP, nothing.

If you don't like technical analysis, simply don't look at this topic.
It sounds more like you're frustrated because you didn't sell xrp during the 2017/18 bull run.

Also it is a bit sad that you keep a $100k investment  just to say "i told you so" to your friends.

Maybe you are right, of course I am frustrated like everyone else. I should have sold and bought back!

You are right about the second point as well. I just don't need the money right now.

The last 3 years xrp's performance was not great, but you cannot say that XRP was a bad investment if you bought before the 2017/18 bullrun.
You bought xrp in 2017, within a year you could've taken $500k + profit but you didn't. Whose fault is that?

That's definitely on me! I don't blame anyone else.

I am just saying XRP was a bad investment for 3 years, 2018-2020.

It was an absolutely dreadful investment, no question about that. I am not sure why people are up in arms, it's just a fact. The opportunity cost of holding XRP has been and still is high.

There is some logic however that highlights why XRP being a bad investment is maybe the reason why it will be a great investment. Video below.

The TL/DR if you don't want to spend 20min of your life on this: the fact that XRP stayed for a particularly long time at around $0.25 implies that more sellers have exited XRP at a loss. More so than other cryptocurrencies like BTC and others. This means that if XRP's price goes up (and that is an *IF*), the selling pressure would be less than other cryptos. Which means the price growth would be more explosive than what we witness with BTC and others. To me this also means that the bubble would crash a lot harder too after the bull market is over.

I personally buy easily into that narrative, because it tickles my own confirmation bias. We'll see how things work out.

Totally agree with you, this is my confirmation bias as well.

That video is great by the way, explains the current situation clearly.

When Bitcoin runs and XRP lags it causes a lot of hurt feelings.  This is no different than 2017.  Where was XRP at the beginning of of 2017 when Bitcoin was setting new ATH's it was nowhere.   Then it caught up with a vengeance.

Everything can be a horrible investment if you time it wrong.  If you bought Bitcoin at $19k and sold at $3k you lost money.  If you bought XRP at $3.6 you are down now.  Do you guys realize XRP started 2017 at .005?  Timing is everything.  Horrible investment for you, perhaps.  But to call XRP a horrible investment for something that is up 100x in three years, not so much.
