None of my friends invest in or talk crypto.  I dohowever get this feeling that people who invest are often using crypto as a gaming site with better odds than you get on the horses or in a casino.

Most of them do because I did and talked about it, and they started like many during the bullrun end 2017. After that they followed their own research/gut feeling and came to BTC and ethereum next to XRP.

And as Hodor described, lot of them know PoW is unsustainable in the long term, but they're betting short term.

Its not a bet, you are unlikely to lose all your money and the expectation of profits are based on well informed investment analysis.  If you spread your investments the chance of failure goes down to nearly zero.  I regard XRP as such low risk that I am, like you, 100% into XRP.

Usually stand to lose everything with a bet, XRP might go down another 50% or it might go up 10,000%  (it went up 30,000% at one point).  If you had opportunity to put a "bet" on a roulette wheel that was 98% red and only 2% black, and you only lost 50% if you lost on black.  Yes it is still a bet, but it is not really gambling to my way of thinking.
