VanGogh
This is a pretty big deal! http://fortune.com/2019/01/14/bakkt-acquisition-consumer-payments/ Cesar1810 and kiwixrp 1
sdalegill
This seems to be a pretty big deal, YES.... But I didn't see anything that mentions Ripple and / or XRP to be used here. Please let me know if I'm missing anything. I suppose we can read between the lines however, I don't like doing that. Seems that Fortune knows nothing about COIL. You would think they would. Seems that Fortune knows nothing about COIL. You would think they would. It's listed under "other press" for that reason. However, the article reinforces that Bakkt is moving full steam ahead. This is good for BTC—and I can pretty much guarantee it'll be good for XRP too and all other digital assets. Here's a little reading between the lines for you: "...Bakkt reckons, will transform Bitcoin, or another dominant token, into a highly-liquid commercial currency,..." sdalegill
I am just getting familiar with this XRP Chat site. Not sure how everyting works. Thanks for your information and feed back. Cesar1810 and VanGogh
xrphilosophy
I was just about to post the same article. It's a fairly decent read. XRP is not listed on Bakkt right now, but it seems unlikely that they will ignore it considering what they are doing. Main point of the article which surprised me is that Bakkt is operating in large part as a payments clearinghouse for retail. That was surprising. It will start with bitcoin and then expand out. (I agree the "or other dominant coin" caught my eye as well). The government shutdown is delaying Bakkt getting a full go.
