I'm a bit underwhelmed. I know many like Tron, I'm indifferent to it but I'm not even familiar with Zcoin.

At this point I think it's more beneficial for Tron and Zcoin. So congratulations to them.

I appreciate this is a start in a direction. Could someone explain to me if this is a start in the right direction?

Absolutely. I'm curious about the progression. These are small stones. Which would be the big ones? Or is "the mountain" really just many stones?

I guess that depends on how difficult it is for Ripple to achieve something. I'm not sure what is more difficult, getting exchanges to list XRP trading pairs, or, for instance, convincing an FI to start leveraging RippleNet.

My Lord! Happy Christmas to you and your beloved!!! Sadly, no christmas emoji here only banana :)

Zcoin, at the time of my investigation (Somewhere March 2017) was the only one that offered true anonimous transactions. Also they desperatelly try to fight ASIC mining. They are very, very ambitious and did their fight based on explaratory territory. Not know where are they now!

I took a few minutes to investigate zcoin. I'm not that interested in privacy coins if that's what their goal is for anonymous transactions. I'll look again. Good luck to them.

Thank for the yule tide cheer! Likewise to you and your kin!

I would say that is a good start in the decoupling. It changes the perspective. Maybe in the future we are not saying anymore that one TRX is 530 sats, but instead it's it's 50000 drops or 1/20th XRP.

I moved all my trafing to "xrp as a base" back in October. There are exchanges that already have btc, eth, bch, xlm and ltc paired with xrp.
