$20 billion new capital into crypto market in the past 2 hours.

As you are newish to this and I hate to sound condescending, there is an increase in the value of the market, but this could be due to less than $1billion of new money coming in, which raises the value of the cryptocurrencies overall. It took me a while to get my head around that too.

@mistatee2000 These markets are so thinly traded it probably takes less than that.  That's the main reason I'm so bullish on  crypto  - the money hasn't even begun to enter this space yet!!!!

I totally agree, but I just wanted to let the guy know that the figures don't stack up the way that many seem to think

Just to be clear....  A $20 billion rise in market cap can be made by a single $1000 purchase of a tiny coin with say 100 billion coins total.

Obviously larger value coins take more to raise market cap,  but when you see a market cap rise by $20 billion if it's a top ten coin it probably actually only had a twentieth or a fortieth of that amount flow in.  That's my rough gut feeling but the numbers will vary immensely.

Just don't be fooled into thinking that marketcap rise is the amount of new money flowing in...  Or visa versa out.  It's much much less real money movement.

@mistatee2000  @ManBearPig  @JA8  @Snavedog  Actually to tell the truth the OTC market in crypto is super huge so there is really no telling how much money is actually entering the space.  The exchanges really don't tell the whole story.  But yeah doesn't appear to take much - hence the extreme volatility.

I love how you make a claim about the OTC being "super huge" and then contradict yourself by stating "no telling how much money is actually entering the space." If you don't know how much money is coming in, how can it be known that the OTC is "super huge"?

@TheXRPer  I'm gonna be kind here.   I'll provide you with some reading and some information -  OTC markets are not counted on the exchanges and there is no way to know the actual volume, however they comprise a huge large percentage of crypto trades -  read any of the articles below: - So yeah like I said ---- OTC markets are "super huge" and there is no way to know exactly how much is traded!!!
