For most of the past year TPS were around 10-15, now a tenth of it or slightly above...:

That is just not true. The average the last year was significantly under 10 tps. I often check http://alivingledger.com/ and most of the times it is around ~5. Just lately with the high market activity it jumped a little. But certainly not most of the past year.

€: Before the discussion begins: tps is not a good metric here anyways.

What's not true? Check your facts, hombre.

Yes that's the point why tps is a bad metric. tps over which timespan? There where periods of hours where I left with 2-3 tps. If there is no timespan, tps metric is completely worthless. That said, we won't find a winner today ;)

Vol has slipped back in the last few days.  2 days ago it hit 1.5 billion, now it is back to more usual figure of .6 billion

Am I right it thinking vol goes up when volatility goes up?

this is what im trying to understand as well - XRP II sales, which are directly linked to volume, have been quite high recently.

i quickly yanked all the XRP II sales from one of the wallets (rHjJwY4maqRyUxCnJ9bNNQ2Tva9fe9T8ud) @jbjnr posted, attached is the pivot.

volatility presents volume, volume presents more XRP II sales..
