Sancho, Sancho - <sigh>  -  I hold far more XRP than most of the posers on this site.  Have held since last summer.  I adore XRP - roll in it every night

before I retire.  I have never disparaged XRP on here, just dislike very much the moronic insistence on mindless optimism and hopium.

Every self important troll is apparently an XRP whale.

Profile checks out. Welcome back, DB_Cooper.

Okay, fair enough (at least good to hear you'r a hodler). But are you aware that a lot of the time the expressed hoptimismium is mostly a bed of facts covered with tinfoily humor in order share the (founded) excitement in such a way that there is share in excitement and an entertaining way to keep each other hanging in this chat environment?

Sancho - sorry, can't climb on board that wagon.  This insistence on a certain orthodoxy followed by the tossing out  of lazy labels like 'troll' to anyone taking the alternate view speaks very poorly for the XRP community.  As Einstein said, there is no privileged reference point.  And, as 2018 has proven so far, the more pessimistic view has turned out to be far more accurate.

Well spoken Blubber.

On the pessimistic part however, do you refer to the XRP price or to the XRP fundamentals, as to me the latter is leading and therefore I say, what a Swell year 2018 has been so far, and that even without having had the 'traditionally' exciting last month of the year.

I am 100% optimistic about the democratization of finance around the world and the chance to chip away at the horrendous inequality now - even though Ripple/XRP is cleverly currying favor with traditional institutions I believe the unintended consequence of that for the banks will be their eventual unraveling.  And good riddance.

As Einstein said

I've never yet met a self important know-it-all who doesn't like to quote Einstein.  Presumably only other geniuses are eligible to do so.

Blubber you are not a dill,  but you certainly are tiresome.  You leave no stone unturned in your crusade to make others feel foolish.

I have no idea why anyone feels the need to **** on everyone while simultaneously feeling above the fray.    I would not like to be stuck beside you at a party.

All right everyone - drop it.

If users want to post ad hominem attacks, this isn't the place for it. Either respond to the OP and add to the discussion or move along please? We've got a new user who has presented some materials to us and we owe @patiljohn the courtesy of responding to that in an intelligent, balanced fashion.

Gros Bisous! :)

for what it's worth rather than going off on one I do kind of get & agree on the point that any article which quotes a number to decimal places when it is a great unknown is likely to be trying to sound more knowledgeable than is likely.

That said I'm still going to dive in & read it :)
