Please read Swift and Ripple New Angle, a thread that @slinuxuzer posted on Wednesday. He offers a fairly logical explanation/theory of the rumored partnership between Ripple and SWIFT.

"We talked to a lot of our customers around the world and I was surprised that even large customers it takes them three to five days to get the payment where it needs to be and you know this was the case of Amazon."

Where in the hell have I been that I missed this!!! How long ago was this!!!

May 2018.

Amazon as a partner, even if in the earliest stages, should come as no surprise to anyone. The company is nearly a country in respect to its treasury operations. Perfect for Ripple. Give it time.

And if Amazon is/was a customer, then Uber and AirBnB probably are/were too.

So why all the "secrecy", it's not like Ripple provide a competitive advantage by virtue of being unknown.

Think of it this way. You can buy cheap now for longer and when it does go then boom. Also if amazon is a customer then they may still be in beta testing. So a need to know basis. no one wants what happened last year unless once it starts going up it stays up. After all, this whole year has been brutal.

It's probably not just up to Ripple but the customer may not want to make it known they are working with Ripple so that the competitors will have a harder time to catch up when Uber suddenly can offer instant settlement for their customers.

Exactly this. I work in IT sales and a lot of our enterprise customers have written agreements which state we don't mention them by name etc.

I think it is absolutely impossible Amazon and Ripple are not yet working together. Not just for their own retail payments, but also for payment API integration in their AWS cloud platform. Cloud hosted apps that can accept and make payments, to and from users, or to and from other apps, is the next Big Thing. Neither Amazon, Azure or Google wants to miss out on that, there's implementation time, and you want to be ready when your competitors are ready.

NASDAQ to acquire Cinnober trading software; to implement their own trading / matching software.

Cinnober is also being acquired by Bitstamp, simultaneously.

Bitstamp is not acquiring Cinnober. They are replacing their own built trading system with Cinnobers top grade trading platform.
