Announcing an XRP Contest Series!

Recommended Posts

Come one, come all, Dev Null Productions is announcing a Contest Series to promote the use of our XRP intelligence tool xrp1ntel. xrp1ntel (formerly Wipple) is a live network client and historical data analyzer facilitating both, real-time and period-based reports (on an hourly/daily/weekly/monthly basis). With xrp1ntel, you can analyze and investigate specific accounts and transactions, as well as overall network and related entity activity.

Our contest will be centred around guessing stats pulled from our reporting system on a periodic basis. Every so often, we will publish a question to twitter, follow us and reply with the right answer (or the closest one) and win 20 XRP! This question will be in/or similar to the form: "Guess the value of XYZ in the SPECIFIED PERIOD". For example, we may post something like "How many successful payments will go through the XRPL in the hour of 2018-11-08 20:00:00"

Terms:

  • To have a chance at winning the prize amount, simply follow us on twitter and reply with your guess.
  • Both actions must be completed in order to participate. Doing only one or the other will result in disqualification.
  • Upon the arrival of the specified period, no more entries will be accepted, and shortly afterwards we will determine the closest contestant and award them their XRP prize via the XRP Tip Bot.
  • Ties will be broken by entry time; earlier responses will be ranked higher than equivalent later responses.
  • Only one entry per contest mechanism per perticipant, multiple replies and multiple retweets will be considered as one reply and one retweet (the earliest reply will be used as the submitted answer). If you wish to modify your answer delete your reply and resubmit a new one before the end of the contest period!

Even more chances to win…!

In addition to this, we will have a separate run-off contest for those that retweet the Initial contest questions. Once the entry period is closed for any given question, we will randomly pick one retweeter (also must be a follower) and award them a prize of 20 XRP. So with every contest you have two chances to win!

The Mumbo Jumbo:

  • To win, contestants must follow us on twitter and respond to and/or retweet contest questions before the end of the challenge period (the date/time specified with the question). Answers by non-followers or those coming after the end of the challenge will not be accepted
  • All times are in UTC
  • We will check correct answers against values reported by the xrp1ntel XRP Intelligence System. Dev Null Productions strives hard to ensure the correctness of xrp1ntel reporting on XRP statistics, contest entries will be judged against xrp1ntel produced data alone.
  • By entering this contest, you absolve Dev Null of any and all legal and financial liabilities. You are verifying that you are of legal age to participate in these sorts of contests and no other legal-barriers prohibit you from participating in this contest and/or accepting the rewards in your local, regional, and national jurisdictions.
  • Contestants acknowledge that Dev Null may change the contest rules at any time and/or disqualify participants for any reason. At no point should participants make any assumptions pertaining to the rules and/or results of the contest.

With that, stay tuned, the first challenge will be coming soon! Hope you win!

Tips:

  • Be sure to pay attention to what the challenge is asking. The number of payments are different than the number of transactions on the XRPL for example.
  • Check historical stats for previous periods to get a gauge of the domain of your answer. Of course every hour, day, week, month is different, but if asked about the upcoming day, looking at the last few days might not hurt!
