Hero_Member
Hi, you can check some existing threads. I believe the master key cannot be re-enabled, so you need the regular key (sXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) to sign the transaction.
Flame
the regular key do show under info. u have a email i can send screenshot and u can help me?
Hero_Member
Well, i think it's quite simple. The regular key shown under info is probably the "account", starting with rXXXXXXXX. You need the corresponding secret (seed), staring with sXXXXXX to sign the transaction, that should work. If you do not have the corresponding secret, I am afraid nobody can help you... Hero_Member
Ok, if we use the public key and private key terminology, i think it is like this: initially, there is a public key, starting with rXXXXX, and a private key, starting with sXXXXXXX. All transactions are signed with this private key. You can add a private key to the account to sign transactions. To do this, you add the public key (starting with rXXXXXetc) to your account as regular key. Now your transactions can also be signed with the private key (sXXXXXXXXX) belonging to this public key. As a final step, you can disable the master key, making it impossible to sign with the initial key. Transactions can nouw only be signed with the second secret key, belonging to the 'regular key"
Hero_Member
In this case, you need the private key for the ripple account ending on Y1Y..(i cannot see the start of the regular key, but i bet it starts with r...........Y1Y

Flame
as one with red arrow..it state, no path? how to fix that. When clicked submit...error masterkey disabled. How to enable masterkey??? Edited November 7, 2018 by Flame
Hero_Member
You cannot set a new secret key to this regular key i think. From this point, you need the secret key from the regular key account. I am afraid the terminology used, "regular key" is not helping. The regular key is not really a key, but an account. With the key corresponding to this account, you can sign your transactions @nikb: maybe an idea to change the label "regular key" to "regular account"? or am I missing something important? I think a lot of people are protecting the regular key as if it is a secret key...totally forgetting about the 'seed'
Flame
so...where to put the KEY or SEED in to sign transaction? i dont see where to enter that??? and the path error? Whats that problem?
Hero_Member
I have not done this with this wallet, but my guess is: click on the Change button right under you account at the top that says secret set. Change that to the private key of the regular key. As far as i know, there is no pathfinding for XRP transactions, so i guess thats caused by the use of the disabled masterkey
Hero_Member
Oh, by the way, there is no need to black out the account info from the screenshot, all the info there is the demo account from ripplerm. Maybe if you change the demo account to your account first, all will be much easier
