thinlyspread
Thanks @Ant for posting in the chatbox. This is a big one: Quote Ripple is also pleased to announce that Bitstamp, the first and only digital asset exchange to be fully licensed to work in all 28 EU member states, is the first partner exchange for Ripple’s XRP incentive program. Designed to increase liquidity and tighten spreads, the incentive program will offer rebates and compensation to qualifying liquidity providers in XRP pairs at partner exchanges “The relationship with Bitstamp and launch of XRP volume incentives underscores our commitment to making XRP the institutional standard bearer for value transfer globally,” notes Miguel Vias, Head of XRP Markets at Ripple. “XRP is uniquely capable of introducing more liquidity to exchanges to support global payment volume, especially in exotic corridors. Ripple’s adoption with banks puts XRP in pole position to become a global settlement asset, which translates to more liquidity for Bitstamp, and more value for institutional and individual investors.” https://ripple.com/insights/bitstamp-now-trading-xrp rippleric, Xi195, Zen1 and 2 others

anotherscott
I really would like Kraken to add USD and EUR pairs to XRP. That would also be nice. Need to open up pairing and get out of only BTC/XRP. I'm guessing that's rules for being a licensed MSB though which is a high bar for most exchanges to cross. We all know Jesse Powell isn't exactly pro Ripple, but if demand shows for it they would probably add it. I don't think he's one to play favorites as long as it is profitable for them. will4star
"Fortunately, Ripple and XRP also happen to be a good fit for the requirements of our EU licence and so we are delighted to be able to respond to our customers’ needs in this way" I think there was as much 'fortune' as there was pure hard work, dedication and vision. smoothy
Xi195
Great quote from Miguel Vias: Quote “We really want nice, wholesome, good liquid activity on day one so we’re having deep conversations with our market makers, some of whom have been around for a long time.” Cheers to that ? tulo
Good news. Strange they didn't add the BTC:XRP market and they don't issue EUR or Ripple. Edited January 10, 2017 by tulo

Any changes are nice after a long stagnation, but I can't understand, how this will affect the price of XRP? Bitstamp - is just another way to buy it.
