ING Netherlands message

Recommended Posts

Update: sorry it is already discussed here:

Hi everyone! This is my first post, I want to share with you something I found on the Dutch ING bank website. I am no specialist ? so I can only hope that some of you out there can tell something about the importance. I truly hope this is about Ripple and I have to hurry to buy some more XRP's. Maybe (or probably) you know this news already, sorry about that!

I have translated a small portion with google.

Instant Payments

In 2019 we will introduce Instant Payments. With Instant Payments, a payment is within a few seconds on the beneficiary's account. In the first instance for euro payments between banks in the Netherlands, eventually throughout Europe.
This is a big change and behind the scenes we are working hard on the preparations. We are making the transition to Instant Payments step by step. This page contains additional information and also when we make changes.
The next step to Instant Payments is called "365 days of booking and reporting" and will take place at the earliest at the end of this year.

ING bank is TIPS network related (managed by the European Central Bank). TIPS will be connected to RT1 (managed by EBA Clearing) in november 2018.

AND SWIFT 'fast payment' network will also be connected to TIPS in november 2018.

ING bank is one of the many European banks that will be able to connect to Ripplenet via the SWIFT network or via TIPS.

From november 2018 onwards all european SWIFT or TIPS banks are connected to Ripplenet via RT1. All SWIFT banks will be free to choose which fast payment rail they wish to use.

The 'level playing field' for fast international payments and related enterprise and retail use is near completion. :beach:

Are you basically saying that all European banks are (inderictly) able to use Ripplenet (with the possibility to use XRP) from november 2018 onwards? ?
