XRP community is unhealthy, says Founder of The Block; accuses Ripple team of price manipulation

Someone needs a hug. Ethereum just crashed hard, for the second time in a few months. Looking for something to divert the depression is all to human.

If he wants to talk about manipulation, look at the billions that were stolen from Bitcoin and Ethereum investors over the last days by leaking fake rumors about Goldman Sachs. Those are not Ripple fanboys. The wallets that had big movements conveniently timed are really old.

That last part is beyond ridiculous.

It's bad that Ripple, a company that wants to expand the XRP ecosystem, is partly interested in XRP price? I don't even know how to address that without getting too sarcastic. Ripple intends to improve payments across the globe, trying to make hundreds of banks and FI's use XRP (eventually). With higher demand for the DA, a higher price is a possible result. That's not an 'ulterior motive' that is a natural effect of Ripple's mission.

Let's also not forget that XRP moves with the general crypto market. BTC leads. Who is manipulating BTC?

Also, Who? The founder of what? I'm going to have to look into why this person is even relevant.

I found this piece written by him from June 2018.

Quote

The blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem is the first time that I’ve ever participated fully in a “frontier tech” market

So he's relatively new to crypto.

I find it interesting he just puts all crypto in a group labeled "projects".

I find this part interesting...

Quote

Business formation is different in frontier tech. Blockchain / crypto investments look more like “bets”, premised on teams, ideas and reputations than on early results. The sums of money involved are staggering and the nature of the money (tokens with generally fewer governance rights and claims on assets) is looser. The returns can come fast and furious, just as the losses can. It is a boom & bust world — and that is before the technology has even come close to changing most people’s lives in any meaningful way. It is unclear if the peak in front is the highest or if there are 10 larger ones to come.  As for the work itself, people would generally prefer to refer to their work as projects rather than companies.

So it appears to me that 4 months ago he got interested in "projects" but is now conflicted that a group of business professionals from a real company, Ripple, have been successful at creating a real product.

Ripple isn't interested in playing in the sandbox with the rest of the "projects" nor do they need to.

This guy is playing a game but he's in the wrong stadium.

And lastly, this is beautiful....

It takes only months to go from the bottom to the top. It takes only months to go from the top to jail. And from jail back to the top. There are massive risks and there are massive rewards. Everything is certain, yet everything is uncertain. It is, after all, the frontier.

And apparently it takes 4 months to go from inexperienced to expert!

Well you know, he is being interviewed by ambcrypto.com, so he is a BIG deal.

He is also scared shitless that his investments won't do as good as XRP.

This literally looks like a Twitter rant that he decided to make an article instead. Articles are supposed to be informative. He could have just posted this on Twitter and got his ******* friends involved. What an idiot

The article seems to be sourced from this discussion. I haven't had time to listen..

Just got past the Ripple holders are brainwashed.

Please, someone help me here. Bots, manipulation by Ripple through PR... Who is this guy?

What does he know that I have been so blind to recognize? People like this make very level headed people like myself ask, wtf did I just listen to? Am I on another planet?

I'll admit I'm damn introverted but I'm not isolated.

@JoelKatz please extend an invitation to this guy to visit Ripple. If it's not even worth the time, I get that. I'm just at a loss for any further words.
