The Twitter feed you reference is indeed a good one.

Within that feed you have people speculating about Ripple, SWIFT, a combination of Ripple & SWIFT, IBM & Stellar and USC all referenced as possibilities.

Am I hopeful for the future of XRP? 100%.

Are a lot of banks and financial institutions dabbling in this space? 100%.

Do any of us have any clue which one is going to roll out Ripple products and make use of XRP? Most certainly not.

Its a guessing game at the moment. There are some very likely XRapid launch partners. Anyone outside of that bunch is a bonus for Round 1.

Not everything is gonna be related to xrp. They are other competitors

I never said it was. The video clearly states “digital asset” and “decentralized platform”. Chris Larsen is a member of the board of directors. - (sorry I said board of directors, that is wrong - he is a member of the technology advisory board.) These are the facts.

Does swift GPI use a digital asset and a decentralized platform?  I’m being serious. I don’t know anything about it.

SWIFT GPI does not use a digital asset, so if that is the case I highly doubt this is SWIFT, not saying it's XRP either but here is one thing to consider As I mentioned in previous topics here I believe Ripple will cobrand with various entities meaning the Ripple name will only be seen internally and these entities will use Ripple Products and XRP under their own name and Branding.  As I mentioned customers really don't need to know and 98% of them are not going to give a hoot about the technology behind this just as long as it's secure, fast, and saves money.. All I can say is the key to adoption will be volume.  I always liken this to Generic Brands of food and Name Brand You really don't think the stores produced their own cereal, etc.  Quite often this stuff is still made by the same companies or a subsidiary of that company but they have an agreement to not show their branding

It could be XLM but with Chris Larsen on the Advisory Board, it's most likely XRP.

Maybe they mean being able to tap into any digital asset (or ledger) for liquidity via Interledger.  XRP doesn't have enough volume/liquidity (yet) for these huge banks to source liquidity.  So by taking a general approach they can dabble into a combination of them. I feel like Chris's main objective in the present is to get all these "networks" connected first (big push for ILP), once that is established, xrp will natural win out as the top DA for liquidity.  Its still all about the infrastructure at this point in the game.

Whatever it is and uses, I would guess it's still a long way off. I don't doubt progress is being made but the anticipation around xRapid started months ago. So if this is a new video, +8 to 12 months.

But but someone said, sooner than you think. Uh huh.

Looking forward to seeing what transpires but I'll not be holding my breath.
