Guest
https://ethereumworldnews.com/tipping-now-possible-on-coil-with-ripples-xrp-tipbot-integration/ Quote With Thomas reintroduction of micropayment, which has been regarded as somewhat uneasy in the past, it will be a major boost for XRP since the idea will monetize, using the cryptocurrency XRP, instead of supporting content by ads, selling data or paywalls. Guest
The idea of the streaming paying coming together, in my view, is huge. Just the idea of, say Google for example. Youtube lets say goes to this format and next thing you know....

Except YouTube's revenue model is selling advertising, and Coil is trying to get around that, delivering the subs directly to the content creators. Who pays for the platform then? Who pays for the platform then? Easy, content creators will have to sign up for a content creator account. Platforms charge the creators to host their content. Can be a flat rate or alternatively, views can be tallied and the platform charges a percentage of the revenue to the content creator. People who have web sites through web site hosting companies are essentially in this same situation, so it would not be an insane shift for the industry. Content creators pay a flat rate for their website to be hosted by the companies servers and then it is up to the content creators to generate visits. Content creators have to create incentives for visits regardless. Only shift is who and when the platforms take their money. Click bait would stay the same really. NissanTracker
I bet the XRP TipBot would go far over at StackOverflow. A programming community with massive contributions. I would Tip/pay for a code snippet or an answer to a question.

Makes sense. And depending on how / how many of the "free" mindset switches, advertisers will adjust paying the content sites accordingly.
