Good Exchange

I just opened an account @ coinbase and used ACH since last 3-4 days to deposit funds.  I bought some ETH so i can transfer to binance and buy XRP. But when i go to coinbase to transfer ETH to binance it says we have to wait 15 days before we can transfer.  I am little confused on why do i have to wait and does anyone know of any better exchange where i don't have to wait so long and get advantage of low prices of XRP.

it all depends on what country you live

i assume US if your using coinbase, so id say just use UpHold.

Im not sure why its making you wait 15 days though, it has always been instant for me.

did you give them your banking info? or just debit card.

This is the response from conibase support.  Which does not answer that why it is longer on my account.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! It looks like your hold period is longer than the average wait. I understand your frustrations and I’d be happy to clarify what this means.
Holding periods allows you access to your entire crypto balance before your bank clears the purchase. Providing your crypto purchase immediately into your wallet allows you to understand your total balance and sell at the price you want immediately. Once the crypto hold clears, you will then have the ability to send the crypto purchase off site.
Although it may take 3-5 days to clear with your bank, holds may be longer due to a variety of reasons. Sometimes a recent ACH purchase or fraud concern will require an additional hold period to ensure that your account is safe.
I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any additional questions regarding this hold.

All the best,
Coinbase Support

For me good support is one of the main criteria for exchanging coins, as losing coins is a very expensive risk. I never faced any issue with Changelly's support nor with ShapeShift or CoinSwitch. Instant exchanges are best since they do not hold your funds. Send from your wallet and receive in your wallet.

A bit off topic but what are the current options to easily buy XRP without having to go through the transfer process.  Is there a Coinbase Equivalent for US investors?

I'm switching to Uphold. Like most in the states, I had to buy Eth on CB then convert on Binance to XRP. MY last buy took three days for the Eth to show up in my Binance account so I could convert it to XRP. I don't mind spending a little more if I can buy Zerps directly.

I've used uphold and thought it was the best way to buy xrp directly with my debit card. I have tried five times today to buy more , now all I get is failed transaction? I emailed uphold several times and they insist it's not on their end. Anyone have the same issues? Getting into this space is challenging as no other exchanges beside coinbase which is terribly slow or uphold who seems untrustworthy.
