This is crazy, great buying opportunity, but Bitstamp Is not accepting USD at this time.

It is like you can withdraw and help push the market down further, but not buy so I can go up.

They've sent an announcement a week ago I believe, letting us know that they're changing their USD bank account. There were some dates where the deposits would be halted but can't remember, but I believe that's the reason you're unable to deposit.

UPDATE: USD deposits are currently unavailable and should be available again early next week. If you deposit USD before that, the transfer will be returned, which may result in additional banking costs. Withdrawals should work normally, however a short delay may occur. Deposits and withdrawals of all other currencies are being processed normally.

Exchanges make it difficult to withdraw FIAT when the market's at the top so logically they make it difficult to deposit when it's at the bottom.  At least we know it's not going down any further.
