I just recently transferred 200 XRP into my Gatehub wallet and I cannot transfer the XRPs out of my wallet. It keeps giving me the insufficient XRP error message.. Need help and need it quick before I go berserk all over social media.. I mean it... Your support has not responded for over a few days now.. what is the problem?? Hmm... you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar... Having said that.... it is probably because you are trying to transfer more out of the wallet than the Ripple network (not Gatehub... the actual Ripple network...) will allow. There is a wallet fee that protects the network from denial of service attacks by making them too expensive. So the wallet needs 20 XRP to be activated and that amount can never be removed (unless the fee is later lowered because the price of XRP has risen). The fee is likely to be always kept at around the price of a cup of coffee, so if XRP rises the amount of XRP in the wallet fee will reduce.) So possibly you have say 100 XRP in the wallet and your trying to take 99 out... you cant... you can only remove 80. Trustlines cost 5 XRP etc so it can be a bit more than 20 needed to be retained. Try a transaction that leaves 50 XRP in the wallet.
esimula
It seems that my account was hacked someone else than Gatehub, but Gatehub support message board was used for the hack. I edited this email not to fully blame Gatehub. My Gatehub account was stolen by information gained from Gatehub support page. If you look at their support page Klas Urekar requests to contact gatehubinfo@gmail.com. After this they contact you and say that account will be closed if I do not respond and follow their instructions. Here is the support page: https://support.gatehub.net/hc/en-us/articles/115003470789?page=1#comments I deposited some BTC to my Gatehub account, but it never get thru. I saw that it was delivered to Gatehub hot Wallet, but they never send it to my wallet. After 2 support tickets and 3 days and no response from Gatehub I contacted this email address that was given by Gatehub message board. After that I lost everything. My mistake,They are stealing the money, but not straight from your gatehub wallet because they cannot do that. They need your assistance to gain access. Is there anything that can be done? https://support.gatehub.net/hc/en-us/articles/115003470789?page=1#comments My emails with Gatehub fake gmail address Comments to Gatehub message board Edited September 20, 2017 by esimula

esimula
I edited this to take the blame from Gatehub. Someone is pretending to be their support person Klas. Person pretending to be Klas is pushing me to obey. I really can't believe this has happened. Edited September 20, 2017 by esimula
esimula
They have also been here. I am in Finland and the people who hacked my gmail are probably connected to vpn/proxy/something in Netherlands Edited September 20, 2017 by esimula
Mercury
@esimula, as far as I know Gatehub does not use gmail. Nor facebook. This seems worrisome cmbartley and Vacek_aka_Luschka

Anyone can create a gmail and this person did. They then take the convo off the support page and push for information that would enable them to access and steal accreditation and/or have the user send funds directly to them

I feel so ******* stupid.. My money is gone either way. I just would like to have my gmail back. It seems that anyone can be Klas Urekar from Gatehub when ever they want on that message board. You can change the name to anything at anytime. Great. Mercury

Did you send your secret key to these people? Or any other secure identifier? If not then funds stored on Ripple are safe. If personal identifiers are given out, go about securing/ changing them (passwords, bank pins). These kind of attacks can have wide spread consequences as this information will be tried against different accounts Vacek_aka_Luschka

I just don't know what they can do. They have access to my gmail and that does not feel great to say the least.

Even if nothing sensitive is on the email they can use it to reset other logins. The ripple secret key begins with 's' and is not stored on your computer

Before I try to leave about 20-25 XRPs and withdraw, could I maybe trade them for ETH and withdraw ETH from Gatehub, Is that a possibility? To be specific I had about 210 XRPs which have reduced to 203.something trying to get them out.. Its not much but i do not want to leave the dust because I do not see myself returning to Gatehub.. The requirement of a minimum of 20xrp in any activated Ripple wallet is enforced by the Ripple protocol not by Gatehub. It helps to prevent new account creation spam. Is there a way that I can move all into another wallet (maybe ETH Gatehub 5th) by converting it, or am I only allowed to convert the total-Reserve (~20).. Thanks ..
