I'm sure others wonder this as well.. when the time comes to sell, where/how do we sell? lets say our account has $400,000 and we want $200,000 out, have XRP stored on a nano... how/where do we sell?

Thanks!

Dreaming of the day when this becomes a problem for me. Haven't thought too much about what exchange I'll actually use to convert to USD (I think Kraken has one of the higher limits), but when I am ready to liquidate I'll probably convert it to some equivalent of USDT or Stablecoin if I find myself hitting USD limits.

can you transfer XRP to your bank account from uphold? thanks

No i don't think any UK banks hold crypto atm. Uphold allows you to transfer to GBP.

Bitstamp of course, because they offer € withdrawal and I live in the EU. Bank transfers work fine for me here, cost almost nothing and are quite fast. There is also no limit for verified accounts.

bitstamp is the worst. a great exchange but NOT for cashing out. have you read the hundreds of horror stories (even recently) of people trying to cash out during the run? bitstamp upped their KYC requirements when you want to take out more than $10,000. they want your last 2 addresses, bank statements, IRS documents, literally everything. and then once you give it, they don't respond. IMO... if you cash out on bitstamp, say farewell to your money.

just one of hundreds:

https://news.bitcoin.com/bitstamp-is-asking-users-who-want-to-withdraw-a-lot-of-questions/

lots of people are going to be rudely awoken when they want to cash out and can't

with my luck i convert to some other coin and that coin crashes the next day

Lol well that’s why you go USDT, stablecoin, or some other backed coin pegged to the dollar

Use an over the counter exchange. Sell your XRP, BTC or ETH for a fixed and set price, and the monies go directly into your bank account.

I would not deal with the online exchanges. Why? Because you can't speak to anyone over the phone or see them at their office in person. With an OTC exchange, you can.
