This is from the last meeting, let's hope they make some progress on a regulatory framework at this next series of meetings...

"Sturzenegger explained that the issue of crypto-assets was raised during the meeting, and that two positions stood out: one in favour of regulation and work on cybersecurity, and the other suggesting that given that there exist these calls for regulation and greater cybersecurity, the international payment system must be improved. Consensus was reached on the need to continue monitoring and discussing the issue."

https://g20.org/en/g20-argentina/priorities

The priorities don't include specifics on crypto. However, this is interesting:

From: https://g20.argentina.gob.ar/en/overview-argentinas-g20-presidency-2018

Quote

Strengthening our financial governance

Capital flows can deliver significant benefits for countries. In Hamburg we agreed to continue to improve the system underpinning international capital flows. We will continue to monitor the risks associated with volatility and will analyze countries' experience with macroprudential measures and capital flow management tools. Moreover, we will keep strengthening our global financial safety net, which is critical to preventing and mitigating the effects of economic and financial crisis. We will also seek to build consensus towards completing the 15th General Review of IMF Quotas, including a new quota formula, by 2019.

Continuing work towards a strong and sustainable financial system

The G20's programme of financial sector reforms has made the system resilient. Substantial progress has been made in making financial institutions more resilient, ending the problem of too-big-to-fail, transforming shadow banking into sounder market-based finance and making derivatives markets safer. We will work toward the full completion of the financial reform package and its implementation, assess its initial effects on the economy, particularly on infrastructure, and continue to monitor any risks to financial stability.

Improving the fairness of the global tax system

The international tax agenda is being affected by the opportunities and challenges presented by technological change, particularly digitalization. Fighting against tax avoidance and evasion is key. We will work towards the timely implementation of transparency commitments, as well as our actions to avoid base erosion and profit shifting. We will also address the fundamental questions as to how the digital economy generates value, where value is created and how taxes can be reported and collected fairly, efficiently and effectively without creating barriers to innovation.

Bold emphasis is my own.

Here's an update... this seems like a good start for the G20, a framework is very good news...

G20 Watchdog Releases Framework for 'Vigilant' Crypto Monitoring

Wolfie Zhao   Jul 16, 2018

https://www.coindesk.com/g20-watchdog-releases-framework-for-vigilant-monitoring-of-crypto-risks/

"The Financial Stability Board (FSB), an organization focused on analyzing and making recommendations to the G20 on global financial systems, has presented a framework for monitoring cryptocurrency assets."

"The FSB report comes as the result of the G20 meeting in March this year, at which there were calls for global regulation of cryptocurrencies. As previously reported by CoinDesk, member countries agreed at the time that initial recommendations were required over what data should be used to monitor the crypto space, and set July as a deadline."
