BCRevolution 759
@daniel_wwf Appreciate all of your effort and engagement with the XRP community regarding CSC. We are all relatively new investors, however we are a passionate bunch. Looking forward to cscchat coming online - let me know if you all need any assistance or contributions to get going. daniel_wwf

Guest
Been taking a deeper look at CSC. With the amount of attention its getting, tough not to. Two main questions. 1) Does the desktop wallet actually work? I downloaded it for Mac but I get the below image when trying to open it. Im pretty sure Im doing something wrong here and its not the wallet itself. Typically when I have downloaded other wallets to poke around in the past I would just unzip the file and it would start functioning but for CSC Im running into this issue. 2) What is the official response re: the volatility topic? For XRP we all know banks aren't exposed to it for particularly long as the transaction is nearly instant. For gambling I might sit at a table for hours. Im sure there is a well accepted position on this but what is it? Thanks team! Edited July 29, 2018 by Guest

That's what I get too - and it's a result of it not downloading fully - check the file size - the DMG should be 83MB or so but it only downloads 1 or 2 MB of the file then times out. @daniel_wwf This is what Safari on Mac reports when trying to download: ie. the network connection was lost (I am in the UK on ADSL - no other site access problems). Have tried Chrome too - this doesn't tell you of any problem but when you go to run the downloaded file, @ecent 's image is what you get - ie. file incomplete. wget from a linux server box in the US also keeps timing out and retrying with similar results. Any chance you can host elsewhere than where it is currently? Cheers
daniel_wwf 147
@ecent @FlyingFox try again now, please. found the issue. I think we should mirror releases on git in the future just in case. thanks for the report. @Alcar it would be the next logical step. We are looking into this and i hope we can move on with this once the online area is covered and up and running. @BCRevolution same! It shouldn't take too long! @XRPto50dollars how about all the riches? Pluto

daniel_wwf 147
Volatility is an "issue" as long as we talk about a small market like now. But it is the same for any other crypto that you can currently gamble with as well. If you decide to gamble with CSC you will always deposit in CSC, gamble in CSC and get your payout in CSC. And of course, you will withdraw in CSC. There is no conversion happening on the operator platform. They could do that, it just wouldn't make much sense. Some Casinos already using some tokenized system. Meaning you deposit 100USD, you get 100 tokens and a spin costs you x tokens or you place tokens on a table. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter which currency you gamble in. It only comes to play when cashing in and cashing out. Is there perhaps another server issue taking place at the moment? I have downloaded the wallet and successfully created an account. After closing the wallet and trying to reopen it, it seems to be in an endless "opening wallet" loop. I have tried logging in with an incorrect password and Im immediately prompted with a "wrong password" error note. When using the correct password the endless loop occurs. Close the wallet, kill all processes/daemons and then open the wallet. That should do it. I just screamed at my guys and pushing for the 4.1.4 this Thursday. I have the 4.1.4 already on hand and pushed that out to CRN tester but don't want to pass it to more people as my testing division will kill me if I do so. Just in case: please pass me your OS version Edited July 29, 2018 by daniel_wwf

If its a new wallet that has no coins on it we could do this: 1) Open terminal and type: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES 2) Now hold the alt key and click on finder and press relaunch. This will show hidden files. 3) Now open finder and go to macintosh>Users>YOUR NAME>.Casinocoin. 4) (you can skip this as your wallet is brand new) Copy the .Casinocoin folder to desktop by right-clicking and duplicate. 5) Now delete the .Casinocoin folder and the application. 6) Re-download the CasinoCoin wallet, install it and create a new wallet address (https://casinocoin.org/links/). ---If you have the exported private keys then you can import them into the new wallet.
