Mercury
Hello all, I am attempting to provide a uniform posting spot for the new silver medallions. For those not aware @Pixels won the community contest for this batch's design. A variation of his winner (right) has been approved and sent off to the mint. The only major change was '2theMoon' was removed to avoid confusion with that series and '.999 SILVER' added in it's place. *** Preorders can be done via the XRP Ledger by simple trading SMT issued by rJCDKXt4EBxbfA3kvxv895g8i9dzY62y1u . You will need to establish a trust line. Gatehub --Advanced option in you wallet -Set Trust button -Enter your password -Copy and paste the SMT ripple address ( rJCDKXt4EBxbfA3kvxv895g8i9dzY62y1u ) into the Ripple Address and enter the currency code ( SMT ). -Click Submit. Then you simply trade tokens as you would normally on Gatehub. The two established markets are between SMT and USD. Bitstamp and Gatehub (default USD for Gatehub users). Other markets can be created if a user wishes although no guarantee it will be filled. It is worth mentioning that you do not need to hold USD Bitstamp/ Gatehub to take advantage of the market thanks to autobridging. *** The website is done and just awaiting some final touches. Due to some popular demand I am considering taking advance orders similar to the first batch of 2theMoon medallions if there is interest.
jbjnr
As a proud owner of SMT, I am wondering about delivery. I think you might have mentioned it previously, but will you be shipping globally? does the SMT token price include shipping or will you be adding that on based on destination. I live in the land of far-far-away. PS. Thanks @Allvor for the xrp, I traded ALV for xrp and used it to buy SMT. The great thing about SMT is that it's actually worth having - unlike ALV! What's nice about it is that you can do it all on the ledger without touching any bank or credit card etc. Technology is awesome. So glad I wasn't born in the middle ages and have to die horribly of tuberculosis in a mud encrusted hovel.

I live in the land of far-far-away. It will be shipped global via tracked postal packaging, price to be determined at checkout. I really struggled with the ideal shipping options, but I'm the end decided on tracked pricing. It was the best balance of security, affordability and accountability. Unfortunately the pricing is per shipment so it might be a tad expensive depending on location to ship one medallion, but on the flip side the price should hold steady if shipping several at once. Special arrangements can be made for those place with spoty or none existing service

I'm far away (from the USA), but we have an excellent postal service here.
Mercury
I have created a temp mini site to facilitate credit card options while I sort out some lingering issues on the sites backend, I did not include shipping at this time and will follow up with individual orders once medallions are ready to be shipped out. https://squareup.com/store/MercuryMint/ Note prices are in CAD, based on latest exchange rates they should equal out to the same price as SMT tokens on the XRP ledger The site is now official live! https://mercurymint.store/ Orders submitted via the temp site will be merged ThomasTheTGV
pucksterpete
This will be the site to exchange our SMT tokens for the XRPCHAT Coin, correct?

The full site should be up soon, just some stubborn back end issues... Its why we do soft launches I suppose. I can also do a market offer to buy back SMT if people want to use credit instead. pucksterpete

OlivierA
Hey @Mercury, Great to see the second wave of the project lift off. I really like the Zapster option, but, I couldn't use it with my Bitstamp account. The countdown (time remaining for the transaction) is too short to process the transaction through the exchanges. You might want to add a warning note on this. And explain what happens if the payment arrives late. I'm not sure it can be returned to the exchanges. As always, you bring a great contribution to the community. Now back to ordering my Medallion ? Thanks
pucksterpete
@Mercury I'm a little confused... Early May I bought my 1 SMT on the market, I was under the impression this guarantees me 1 Silver Medallion and be able to use my SMT to pay for it on the site 'https://mercurymint.store/' All I see is either paying with XRP or Bank Transfer. What am I missing here?

What am I missing here? Yes Despite my best efforts getting the SMT tracking kept breaking things. How it will work is similar to the first order. The sites first blog outlines how to purchase SMT, and mentions they can redeemed via the contact page. In short: Quote To Redeem Medallions bought/ traded on XRP Ledger (Ripple) can be redeemed via the contact page, be sure to check SMT Redemption. You will be contacted with a destination address and a quote for shipping. After fulfilled your order will be processed. For those on XRPChat I can also do it via here, and if its the same info as the first order I can use that info to complete the majority of the order. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I figure a little more work on the backend on my part was better than the whole order failing. pucksterpete
