Accidental Wrong Pass Phrase

HoBoTrails

Recommended Posts

I accidentally typed the wrong passphrase and my whole Ripple wallet just shutdown. How do I recover my wallet to the point before I typed the wrong passphrase? I was already given a new Ripple address and a new Ripple "seed". Where the currency is suppose to be displayed I'm getting a "downloading symbol" instead and has been spinning for two days. Did I lose all my cryptocurrency simply because my fat fingers accidentally hit two keys at once...?

Please help.
Thank you.

What wallet are you using?

I am using an online wallet (the name "Ripple Wallet v.0.8.0") is located at the top left.

I cannot find a support link, a phone number, an email, an address, etc...
It's almost as if it were waiting for me to do something.

I am using an online Ripple Wallet.

It has now given me a new Ripple address...I don't want a new Ripple address, I was happy with the one I had.
I tried typing in my old seed and it's telling me that it's "invalid".
Invalid...? It was just working a moment ago. It was me that made a mistake.

FUD or no FUD?

Anyway. A secret Key for retrival is the answer to most of these questions.
Or is the wallet an on-line Wallet, contact their Support @HoBoTrails

I typed in my "seed" and it's telling me that it's "invalid".

I feel it's a simple fix but I just can't seem to get it.

I clicked the button where it said to "generate a new seed" and still nothing.

If instructions are posted somewhere to fix this problem it is NOT on the online Ripple Wallet.

Very discouraging.

What kind of wallet is that Exactly? This is a bit confusing. And so is you descriptions.

how many xrp do you have in this wallet?

Is it more than enough to give a 5$ bill a heart attack?

Or is it about 3 xrp?

I only ask because this seems like a 2 xrp problem... don't get me wrong, 2 xrp are good... but not sure about posting this type of thing good....

Also, you seem pretty computer savvy... you have successfully uploaded an ominous profile pic.. (I only have a letter)...

you found an xrp chat forum... but you lack all other skills to cope with conversational knowledge... why?

Sorry if I sound like an ahole, but anybody who is allowed on a computer and says things that don't make sense, should be called on it....

hope you understand!

The only wallet that fits his description is this Chrome Extension, which was recently updated to 0.8.1

As long as you have your secret key (starts with "s"), you don't have to worry. You can gain access to your funds with any wallet where you can import your secret key. As already mentioned above, Harbor would be an alternative.

He's gone since May 27th, so i don't think he needs help anymore, but well..

Cheers
