Guest
Fully aware of the most likely scammy nature of GCB. Nevertheless I would like to buy some. Tulo mentioned I should ' manually put the issuer' however I am not sure how to do this in Gatehub. I've tried to connect a gateway (not sure if this is what Tulo meant) however I cannot get past the phone verification. I've tried all formats I can think of yet it keeps returning ' Error saving phone number' Any assistance would be appreciated.
Duke67
The best approach is NOT to trade. (The phone number might want a Chinese formatting).

Download the rippex wallet, or any of the "Desktop Client" options under the "Desktop Wallet" section, here: https://www.xrpchat.com/links/ 1) Create a new account in the client and make sure you record your "secret". After booting, it's Create New Account --> Create Empty Account. 2) Fund that account with some XRP from your gatehub account. Your new account should be top right, you can load it onto the clipboard with a double click. 3) You can use the Trade interface in the client to bring up the orderbook for GCB by manually inputting the issuer. Trade --> Advanced --> Add Pair. Paste in the issuer address for GCB under "gateway" and put "GCB" in the currency field. Set the other currency to XRP and leave gateway blank. It shouldn't matter which is base and counter as you can "flip" them later anyway. (NB - If you have any trouble getting into your wallet later on, use your "secret" to create a new wallet file. Your secret is the key to your funds. In the desktop client, the wallet file is just an encrypted version of your secret, encrypted with the password you type in.) I take no responsibility for any money you lose trading GCB. Global

You should create trustline manually (you don't need phone number for this).

Then, you may login to Gatehub and browse to your wallet and follow all steps or you can simply start to follow at 2a. 1) scroll down to the bottom -> click on "advance" or visit this URL - https://wallet.gatehub.net/#/wallets/YOURWALLETADDRESS/advanced (please change YOURWALLETADDRESS with real one) 2 - click on "Set trust" button or 2a) You can simply open this link - https://wallet.gatehub.net/#/wallets/YOURWALLETADDRESS/trust//// It will ask your password to confirm. 3) it will ask your GCB address and currency code (GCB) to set up for trust line. Once it is setup. You can start trading. If you wanna start to trade, you can simply view by browsing the address format. https://wallet.gatehub.net/#/trade/GCB:GCBRIPPLEADDRESS/XRP/ Global

Guest
@winthan Thx. I am now the proud owner of some GCB. Just a small amount. It's good that I know how to setup trustlines now. Edited November 6, 2016 by Guest

You should be fully aware that GCB is fully a scam. They give you GCB for your XRP, then they sell your XRP for BTC on Polo. I think there are better ways to practice setting up trustlines. haha rootvegetable and Apollo
Apollo
Not just "most likely"a scam. It is overwhelmingly likely, oras sure as you can be of anything in this space. i.e. Run! Do not pass go, do not collect $200.... do not trade, buy, hold, or trust.... RUN!!! MundoXRP
winthan
The Chinese GCB is taking over on the charts https://charts.ripple.com/#/
winthan
@Annevanzwol - please do exchange carefully. Before/While you do trade, please try to register first http://gloriouspay.com/auth/login and look option for withdraw and see how it works. Because what we found GCB is little fishy. I don't think we can trust 100% yet. 1) the GCB http://gloriouspay.com/ copied logo from Gana bank, they are not very genuine trustworthy at the beginning. 2) There could be bots trading at their gateways 3) Ripple should explain GCB since it is taking over on the charts, so we should wait from Ripple
