Laura Shin’s much anticipated podcast about Ripple and XRP has been released.  Hodl on to your hats ladies and gentlemen. You’re about to get angry.  She starts off by trying to explain what

it was the snarky comments and sniggering that gave away the bias throughout -- while trying to appear objective and "SHOCKED!" at the "facts", it's just a setup

"I always get the CEOs" -- yeah, of shapeshift... wow, big names

it just makes zero sense for a busy CEO of a real, major company to talk about XRP Ledger minutia, when you can have on the Chief Architect

she's full of crap, she's got a big ego, and she knows it

Ripples PR problem

Ripple shining on the PR front again. The woman was going to do a piece on ripple and it would have caused not so much as a literal ripple in the community. She is a declared btc and eth investor so a semi fair podcast would have been the most we could have hoped for. Big deal.

Ripple employees "reach out" to her questioning her choice of only interviewing THEIR CEO. What does that say about your confidence in your CEO in communicating your vision.

That is followed by a avalanche of passive aggresive, aggresive and "expose," style tweets from the "xrparmy" (clan) directed at the lady.

It's her podcast; what do you think she will do? Shes going to rip the shi* out of ripple, what else.

Ripple spend more time fighting negative PR and playing the victim card then they do pushing their own news. Their latest attempt on twitter was someone who is so disconnected from twitter and thought it was okay to offend the one country that is providing half the pitifull volume we have at the moment.

To summarise, ripple PR sucks. PR does not mean catering to the wants of a clan of limited numbers on twitter.

Ill finisb this later gt guests

1. I'd not heard of this person before last week.

2. I don't like iPhones and especially iTunes.

Neither of these two facts were part of my decision to invest in xrp.

Listening to her on iTunes won't change anything.

If it causes the price to pull back, please pull back until the 15th so I can buy more this month's paycheck.

Thanks unknown crypto lady on iTunes.

yada yada, who care about this, I just read a great article in french in a really serious newspaper about ripple and xrp

Quote

If they are smart they will remain silent. Most on this site (& perhaps some at RL) have no clue how treacherous the environment is right now for Ripple. She did Ripple Labs a huge favor by not allowing Mr. Schwartz, to defend XRP. He has already provided too much ammunition for the plaintiffs.

There is no need for RL to waste resources fighting FUD. I have faith that bankers and FI CEOs make their decisions based on direct talks with their vendors (RL), not Twitter or pod casts.

FUD is purely words, words are harmless, unless you are very weak. Typically one’s response level to FUD tells more about the validity, than the best possible rebuttal. (Sticks and stones..)

Still, I think the podcast holds some valuable messages for Ripple leadership.

At the moment Ripple kind of buries their head in the sand, letting everyone guess what they do, while the only message Ripple conveys is an ambiguous "everything's proceeding great."

The podcast panel is not outright hostile. They see many positives in Ripple, but less so XRP.

Some of their questions, be they legitimate or not, pop up and again and again, and it would be nice if Ripple addresses them once and for all.

From what I gather this podcast is about xrp and not Ripple. The success of xrp is not the focus of Ripple at the moment.

I firmly believe Ripple is taking the necessary steps to give xrp the best chances of success in the future.

Would you try to convince people you have the best pizza if you only had  melted cheese and cooked pepperoni served on a plate but no crust?
