RegalChicken
can anyone tell me how Uphold is going? do they allow wallet transfers/withdrawals? can I transfer XRP to Uphold and sell it for fiat?
pmyke01
I've been using Uphold for quite some time for my BTC and alts. They are fantastic. So far with XRP you can only buy it and sell it on uphold (fiat, precious metals, other cryptos). There is not currently a way to transfer XRP to or from an external wallet. However, they maintain that this feature is coming soon and on the browser version of the website a greyed out link exists to do so with the message "coming soon." (This doesn't appear in the app yet). Edited April 20, 2018 by pmyke01 GiddyUp
RegalChicken
OK that's what I was wondering because all of my XRP is in cold storage. when the day comes to sell some, I want to sell it straight to fiat to make transactions and taxes easier. I don't want to go XRP > BTC > Coinbase > Bank. I want to go XRP > Fiat > bank... so i'm looking at additional exchange opportunities. pmyke01
Once they finish their full XRP integration you'll be able to do that. I've done it with other alts and it is very smooth and clean. No issues. Paradigm, King34Maine, Hodor and 1 other 3

Or even better, just XRP. A global currency. For now, the best options I've found is to create a corporate account on the exchanges to increase Fiat withdrawal limits to seven figures+ a year. jMusic

Gangus
I love uphold so far. The only thing I don't like is that you cannot put buy or sell orders for a specific amount. You have to buy at what ever the current price is like CB. So if you have a target price that you want to sell at you have to sit and wait, unlike our typical exchanges. I think this is the only thing lacking besides being able to transfer XRP in and out. Im sure something is in the works. Once those things are available Uphold will be tough to beat and a very easy platform for a normal person to invest without dealing with all the trading we have to do now. You'll just have to contact support and ask them what they require to increase withdrawal limits. Tons of information is requested though, they want it all. xrp-pat

corak
Reserve numbers for XRP on their site show zero. If they're actually a "bucket shop" for XRP that is very bad for us, since if you "buy" it from them you are not actually removing any supply from the market. i find it unlikely that they would take such a risk though. I guess it's simply the monitoring that isn't in place yet.
