RycNoosh
These are my notes for acquiring ALV coins if you have a wallet that was active before March 27 inclusive. See https://allvor.org/get-alv/ They are based on the notes from Thanks Zock.. I've posted them as there isn't much information on the internet about how to do this so hopefully will be useful to some. Note I don't have a "cold computer" which in an ideal world you would have and any of the steps where I say to disconnect from the Internet you would do on a cold computer as per Zocks notes. Follow these steps at your own risk!!! They are taken from memory. For the record I have my ALV coins. Turn off any automatic backup software! For any of the steps that involve keeping a copy of any data don’t save the data to your hard drive or any other permanent storage mechanism. Make sure you have up to date Antivirus software. Install a copy of FireFox from https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/new/ Open up your Nano Ripple wallet and get your public address. You can find it on the “receive” section, use the down arrow to get to it. Go to http://ripplerm.github.io/ripple-wallet/ Press the blue “Change” button and change the address to your public address you acquired in step 5. Go to the “Tools” section of the webpage. Press the “Wallet Account” button. Press the “Wallet Sequence” button. Take a note of the “Wallet Sequence” Go to https://github.com/iancoleman/bip39 in another browser tab and download using the “Clone or Download” button and the “Download zip” Extract the zip to any location on your computer. Go to https://github.com/ripplerm/ripple-wallet and download and extract in the same manner. Now turn OFF your wireless/disconnect from the Internet so you are no longer connected to the Internet. Open the folder created in step 12 and open bip39-standalone.html in FireFox. In the “BIP39 Mnemonic” field enter your 24 Nano S words, space separated. Select Coin As XRP. Thanks @THARWANI for adding this step Scroll down and making sure the “BIP 44” tab is open take a copy of the the first private key from the Derived Addresses table at the bottom of the screen (the one corresponding to your public key) Thanks @Annevanzwol for clarification on this step. Open “index.html” from the folder created in step 14 in a new tab Press the “Change” button next to “Secret Key” and enter the key you saved in step 19 Complete the “Account” field with your wallet address you obtained in step 5 Complete the “Sequence” field using the data from step 10 Type 12 in the “Fee” field. Press the “TrustSet” button Under “TransactionTypes” press “TrustSet”. Enter 100000000 in the “Value” field. Enter ALV in the “Currency” field. Enter raEQc5krJ2rUXyi6fgmUAf63oAXmF7p6jp in the Issuer field. Enable the “SetNoRipple” tick box. Complete the “Secret” field with the data from 18. The “Sign” button should be enabled now so press that. Take a copy of the text in the “blob” field below. Close ALL website tabs. Destroy the data from step 19. Re-enable your wireless/re-connect to the Internet. Go to http://ripplerm.github.io/ripple-wallet/ Press the “Submit” tab and enter your blob text from step 33. Press the “Submit” button. You should get a success style message. Go to https://allvor.org/get-alv/ Enter your Ripple public address, it should say you are ready to receive ALV. Press the displayed button and your will get your ALV. It should give you a link to https://bithomp.com/explorer/ where you can check your ALV balance. Ripple-n-Time
Thank you for posting this. Once collecting the alv coins, I sent all my XRP to a second nano just to be safe

bodytexture
Can I use the same process with Ledger Blue?
manateehunter
Step 43. Smash computer repeatedly with heaviest object you can find then set it on fire. jk, good guide! The only thing I would add is if you'd like additional security set up Ubuntu (or any other linux distro) for boot option prior to doing any of that, that way if any malicious software sneaked past your anti-virus they would be useless in a Linux environment. Be careful when exposing any info, there are keyboard loggers abound. ManyMoons
RycNoosh
Yeah I can't see why not Bodytexture. All you are doing is interacting with the ledger, where your wallet is stored is irrelevant. Edited April 8, 2018 by RycNoosh

LordAMV
Seems like quite a lot to go through. What is the community's general thought on the ALV token and intended use? Is there a real value in what they're trying to do that will play favorably in its price?

It is clear that Ripple the company is focusing on Large FIS and banks and MTOS right now. If someone else builds plugins for e-commerce IMHO it is a great thing. I am really happy that they decided to use XRP ledger. I am going to hold for now. I got it for free anyway. goldstar111
I would also add , run rootkit detectors like Zemana , Malwarebytes https://www.malwarebytes.com/antirootkit/ as the first step. This is not necessary if you have permanenet air gapped computer. If not you need to run this before you do anything.
GaryC
Thanks for putting these steps together Goldstar111. I unfortunately could not get it to work. Every time I tried Step 20, I get invalid secret. I do have a couple of questions. In Step 18, when creating the Account Extended Private Key, should the Coin be set to XRP - Ripple before calculating the Account Extended Private Key? In Step 20, should I click the blue Change button after the Wallet Account or the Grey Change button after the secret set:? What I have tried is setting the coin to default (bitcoin) and XRP and using both the Account Extended Private Keys generated in step 20. In step 20 I have tried both the blue button and the grey button. In all 4 attempts I get Invalid Secret. I must have missed something but cannot figure it out. any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Guest
@RycNoosh Thank you. I was able to set the trustline and claim the ALV. However not using the 'Account Extended Private Key' as you indicated (which returned an invalid secret message) but the first private key from the Derived Addresses table below (the one corresponding to my public key) I've tried to send the ALV to a Gatehub Wallet (with ALV trustline) using the BLOB method however when submitting I get 'tecPATH_DRY: Path could not send partial amount'. Can you tell me how to send ALV to another wallet or even better how to import the wallet into Gatehub? Edited April 10, 2018 by Guest
