Jesus guys, someone is playing with you. I think it's time finally time to discuss these accounts as people are not investigating these things thoroughly.

1. If you do a search on the domain registration of "mastercard.id", you would find out that it has yet to be registered. Meaning that the domain associated with that account is false.

2. The following accounts and associated domains are all by one individual,

     https://bithomp.com/explorer/rRupiahQxoEjMieJguQi3Rx1gxG7JXym4

     https://bithomp.com/explorer/rfhzYEqyDBiKkdpPUbSdnuEenqbmfJCys5

All associated IOUs (IDR, NET, etc) are UNBACKED, meaning someone just created an arbitrary amount of a custom IOU that is being sent back and forth between accounts. Notice how these IOUs do not orginate from a GATEWAY. You can legitimately find out WHO is even activating these accounts, etc. so this is NOT MASTERCARD. There can always be more behind this but as of now, IT IS SOMEONE TRIALING/TESTING THE NETWORK FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL INTEREST. Nothing associated with Mastercard.

This is partly why I don't disclose/share any ledger information with you guys. The lack of research and wild speculation is rampant right now. You guys are doing more harm to XRP's ecosystem by not learning and taking an objective perspective on account transactions/activity on the ledger. Baseless speculation by Bearguy...,etc on his misinterpretation of these accounts is also malicious. Understand that people want to take advantage of the majority of you guys as there is a lack of knowledge and understanding of the ledger by the community.

XRP Ledger accounts can easily established TRUST between the two and send IOU in different formats to create that very misleading speculations. ;)

I guess account name can be whatever, Ripple Gateway domain is validated. Based on few whois searches it seems domain mastercard.id is still available and not registered by anyone.

If any of you ****** off holier-than-thou folks think that what people on this board say, be it ignorant, humorous, thoughtful, etc. will make a droplet of wizz difference in the price of Ripple, YOU do not understand the corporate world. With some "digital assets", yes. Kin, Tron, etc. We aren't even ants in this particular situation.

XRP doesnt rely on hype, it has actual fundamentals and volume driven usecase.. all you need is patience, and let them do their job correctly without them having to put their tools down to calm the crowd first. Speculate, fine - i love speculative talk - but forging fake news that could be easily debunked.. they are not run by some ****** dev that caves in saying 'ahh you caught us, now we will come clean' on anything. Ripple has never broken any NDA and faking hype truely hurts the coin more than any fud you can find on the internet.

Every company, organization, market, sports team...whatever or whomever rely on some form of HYPE or what it really is, "EXCITEMENT" regarding their progress or story or whatever message that champions their cause.

I would not say that Ripple has "faked hype" or even comments in this post are individuals "faking hype". I do believe that you have people that have invested in XRP and believe in Ripple & their mission. We all come from various backgrounds. Some of us are Dr's, Dentists, Firemen, housewives, soccer moms, traders, speculators and even some here are very technically savvy! We all do not share the same expertise but we all (except for those here just to spread FUD) want XRP & Ripple to succeed. However, as we all watch the quiet market action, there are some that spend their time looking for positives that will ignite the fire and propel us out of these doldrums. Human nature dictates these actions.

I could not have come to the conclusion that these were not legitimate transactions without those here with expertise to point that out. I am a big believer in KARMA. The more we all remain positive towards each other regardless of our expertise, the Greater the reward as we let KARMA propel us! (Along with all the hard work Brad, Joel, & Ripple are doing)

Peace Out!

Thank you @mars75 your scrutiny is such a great service to ecosystem, nibbing a negative cascade ( intentional or not ) . Although this does look a bit on the intentional side.

The MasterCard tweet picture also does not stand the test. Bitly branded short domain and shortened URL generator generates continuous incremental values and they are 7 characters in length with first char values being 0~9 to keep url length constant. They have not even exhausted 2 yet, the URL with "4******" string is definitely fake/Photoshop something.

also note, i have not seen any tweet where master card uses ">" when pointing to the short-links.

while these are minor points, you have given the elephant points in this matter ( the domain name, address etc)

All this combined, definitely seems someone is messing with the community, perhaps trying "desperately" to initiate P&D or something.  be careful everybody, don't fall for frauds ( subtle or gross)

Cheers !
