Artist
Hi there folks. I have been attempting to use the Gatehub wallet. Everything looks and seems user friendly and mostly self explanatory. Here's my problem. I have my ripple on Bittrex right now. I understand that I need to transfer 50 xrp to my gatehub wallet. When trying to transfer these 50 XRP from Bittrex.... I almost instantly get a "invalid" error on Bittrex stating that: "The address you submitted is not valid for the XRP network. Cancel this withdrawal and resubmit it." Can't for the life of me figure out why this is happening. I have made many withdrawals and deposits on bittrex previously with many other coins. This is the first time I've ever encountered an error like this. I noticed that the gatehub wallet allows me to create new addresses also. So I tried that. So now I have two XRP addresses on my gatehub account... but Bittrex reacts with the same errors when trying to send there also. Any ideas?? Apollo
Are you sure you are using your public and not your private key? Edit: I don't mean to seem insulting, but this happens more then you would think. Edited October 4, 2016 by Apollo vickyhunter
Artist
Yes, I'm positive. When I click on the "deposit/receive" button.... it only shows my public key.
Apollo
You could try to fund your wallet some other way. You can do it through Gatehub directly, or I am sure some one will be willing to send you the 50. I would but I don't have a hot wallet. That would at least give you an idea of whose side the problem is on. T8493

Apollo
Does this seem like the problem you are having? ie. are you entering a destination tag when sending from Bittrex ? I don't think you should be. http://www.xrpchat.com/topic/1662-ripple-wallet-activate-and-tag-code/#comment-15387 Edited October 4, 2016 by Apollo

I read that thread before I posted here also. Seems that it was concluded that the destination code isn't needed or necessary. I have left it blank when trying to submit the transaction on bittrex. Artist
I heard back from Bittrex this afternoon and learned something. They won't allow users to send XRP to addresses that don't have a minimum of 20 XRP in them already. Since I was helped out here last night with the initial 50.... I have now tried to send additional XRP to the wallet on Gatehub and it's working perfectly now. So..... that mystery is solved. m00nxaild
jchi18
I am getting the same problem. What can I do to circumvent it? Edited May 12, 2017 by jchi18 grammar
namini
I think Bittrex doesn't allow to send XRP to a new unactivated wallet, which is stupid really.
