minimalist jatchili keyprivate

Hello everybody,

I have a problem i created a wallet on minimalist jatchili a year ago and the client gave me a private key not starting with s ... but 34CB ....

I see my xrp and no error message when I put setidentity with the 34CB but when I try to send it my mistake MaxLedger.
I have seen topics that speak of key rekeying but concrete solutions. I have a lot of money stuck ...

I continue my research but if you have a solution I reward.

Thanks

I had a similar problem late last year with minimalist. I found a bug in the div width(HTML) that obscures the secret key(which is a image file). It seemed to cover up the last digit or so. Ripple secret key is 29 characters long (check this). if less than 29 characters long e.g 28. add an "s" (lowercase) at the start and try that (I recommend offline comp with Rippex or boot with Ubuntu live and use minimalist). There are lots of tutorials on how to do this (even xrp chat threads). I do not recommend trying out different combo's on an online computer. If 29 characters, "3" could be a typo, replace with "s". I hope you get the drift. Enjoy

Purely my opinion, use this information at your own risk!

Ok, that must be an encrypted secret.

What you should do is this (and not in Safari on Mac OS X, it has issues with jatchili's client):

1) Get to the point you described above, where jatchili shows your balance.
2) Click "show/hide secret".  It should show you a 29 character series of letters and numbers beginning with "s".  This is your money, its called a "ripple secret".
3) Record this secret exactly as shown, in a secure place - pay attention to uppercase and lowercase, it matters.
4) Install another wallet software - such as Toast Wallet from toastwallet.com.
5) Import the ripple secret into the new wallet to create a new wallet in there.  You should then be able to make a successful transaction.

Never show your secret to anyone and keep it very secure, it literally is your money.  If you have a lot of funds, I suggest reading up on "cold wallets" and creating one to hold the majority of your funds.  When transferring funds anywhere, and for any purpose ALWAYS test with a small amount first, and make sure the funds arrived and that you can access them.  Only then repeat the exact same steps again only changing the amount.

This advice is given for educational purposes and without any guarantee or warranty.  Use at your own risk.

In the minimalist client, after you input the "34CB" and click "set identity", you will presumably then need to enter your passphrase and click "decrypt".

After that point, your encrypted secret should be cleared from the window, and it should change to showing your public address only.  At this point you can click "show/hide secret" to reveal your actual secret beginning with an "s".

If you aren't doing to "decrypt" step, I unfortunately have no idea what you're inputting into the jatchili client, nor why/how it would resolve to the point you are able to send a transaction.

You should be using Google Chrome browser.

I don't understand what the 52 character sequence is. It's not your secret key and it's not your wallet address. Could it be the wallet.txt file? In what way was it saved?

I generated several wallet (pub and private) on minimalist when I invested in the ripple, I started and I realized too late that the key was started by a s and not by the keys that the customer had me given.

I have 3 key as his with thousands of ripple blocked above worth a few tens of thousands today.

I read that there were old keys that did not start by s dating from several years but me it is 1 year.
I also read that the key could be encrypted but no way to find a solution.

The minimalist client offers the option to encrypt the secret key using a passphrase to a 48-character alphanumeric hash.  You can input this hash in place of your secret and it will work.  I'm assuming this "52" character sequence is a miscount of that hash. If its not, I have no idea how the OP is getting to the "MaxLedger" step, which would require submitting a transaction the minimalist client thinks is correct and using an apparently correct secret - encrypted or otherwise - to do that.

May I ask?
Have you checked the wallet and your XRP since you created it?

I had to see if I could send after its creation and I had the same as current. I thought the problem would be permanent.

The XRP are still on the wallet has not move ..

I think a lot of people are the same, because I do not think I have done a manipulation on several wallet.
I just generated the secret key and this is what I got a key of 52 characters starting with 3.

I do not think I had an obsolete version or jatchilli hacker
