R3 Corda pilot result: premature, slow and difficult to recover

Recommended Posts

I came across this article that states that the Bank of Korea tested R3's Corda between 28 institutions.  A Google translate of the Korean article contained the following statements:

As a result of applying the block chain technology to the banking business, it is said that it is premature. The transfer of funds is slow and the failure recovery is difficult. On the other hand, security was good.

(..)

The Bank of Korea (BOK) said, "From September last year to January of this year, the Bank of Korea (KDB) conducted a fund transfer test between 28 institutions including banks, securities companies and KFTC using distributed technology. "When it happened, it was difficult to recover, and efficiency and resilience were poor."

Just goes to show you that even companies that “worked with” cough... Ripple can’t duplicate what they have come up with.  This is good news,  these banks and other will probably be jumping on board with Ripple in the near future.
