Win 100XRP! SBC is seeking to increase awareness of your ability to use Escrow while challenging the XRP community to show their commitment to holding XRP for the long run. We are giving away 100XRP to the person that Escrows at least 500XRP for the farthest date in the future. Escrow is the safest possible manner to store XRP. Your basically locking it in a timed vault with a very secure password. The password only works once the timer is done. Use this for protecting your investment from theft. Protect it from your itchy sell finger when the price jumps a little. Save it for your kids graduation or a number of other reasons. You can easily send your XRP to Escrow using Reservoir Lite or send it with Harbor Wallet, SBC’s new XRP Wallet. See this link for full contest rules.

Damn this is some Russian roulette / Deer Hunter kind of a promotion.  I might have to jump in on this challenge as I can beat that April seed date no problemo, but some crazy whale around here is liable to put one out hundreds of years.

I've sent something like 150xrp to August 2025  always better than paying a fine for speeding  150 usd gone

2025 isn't too bad...of course if your stack is small and the value sky rockets maybe it's a different story.  I think I can put a stack of 500 XRP out there pretty far.  I guess technically my max would be 45 years if I want to see the stack again before I die per the average life expectancy in the US. :P

Even if you don’t win the promotion, you still win when you release the escrow and start picking colors for the lambo.

Any risk if an escrow is set to say 50-100 years from now; what's the chance the Reservoir system is no longer in existence? can the xrp easily be retrieved by means outside of of the Reservoir or Harbor wallet?

Excellent questions. Releasing your escrow is not dependent on Reservior Lite or Harbor. You will have your Fulfillment ID before you send funds. That is the password used to unlock your funds when the expiration date passes. At that time you can use US or any XRP escrow processor to release the funds.

Lambo? Some of us are time-traveling archaeologists from the future. By the time I have in mind, 500 XRP will fetch you a nice little moon in the Beta Quadrant.

“The RiverSong Galaxy”... I’d visit there.

The latest possible timestamp for escrow by the way is either 2068 or 2136, so you better hurry up with that space exploration...

The best way to win is to watch rnRLLJsjhvsDsVYJ4AQrYdSJ1KjguuYtTG for created Escrows >= 498,75 XRP (since it has to be >=500 XRP before fees) and submit your entry as close to the deadline as possible. Then again I have no idea how fast/slow SBC's process is, so you might not want to cut it very short towards the DDL, as their process is more involved than just sending an Escrow transaction (which would be much faster and simpler, but wouldn't use their product - so they won't pay for the promotion of course).

A great way to deanonymize yourself by the way, since with the transaction hash and very minimal digging it is easy to connect a social media account to your account on XRPL.

Our process doesn’t take longer than 1 second to send the transaction.

Your also giving pretty poor advice on the other 2 points. 1) Why the 68 year time gap between recommended escrow dates? 2) Why do people need to watch one of my personal wallet addresses? Escrows submitted with Harbor originate from the owners address and don’t flow through Reservoir’s Wallet. (The address you meant to share starts with “rJ”)

Finally, users concerned with losing their  anonymity could email us their tx hash or could simply choose not to participate.

Great to hear, so it is possible to wait right till the end. Do you have to be notified before the time runs out or is it only about the transaction?

Because that's how timestamps work. I didn't check https://ripple.com/build/transactions/#escrowcreate, apparently it must be somewhere in 2068.

Ah, then rJYzvPk1YaX4eVQwUX1aQNaAjur4p9MrCP is probably the one for Reservoir, there's not much documentation on https://www.secureblockchains.com/harbor-xrp-wallet/ so it is hard to know how your products work.
