Accessing Gatehub Ripple Wallet

Recommended Posts

I've been locked out of my Gatehub account's 2FA since I changed to a new mobile device

I've put in a Gatehub customer support ticket and still waiting for a response. It's been past 2 weeks now :(

My Question: Since my wallet is a "Ripple Wallet" and is on the ledger supposedly (as oppressed to a wallet hosted by Gatehub) ...Can I access my XRPs any other way without going through Gatehub? If so, would I be able to trade using some other way?

Thanks

If you have your secret key for that ripple address you can import it into Toastwallet or Rippex desktop wallet, plus some others

Thanks!! ... looks like I have some research to do first then to see the pros and cons of these options :P

Well for me, I have been using Rippex wallet since Jan 2017, toastwallet wasn't out yet.

I still use Rippex on daily basis, because it allows me to trade on exchanges like  Gatehub's markets, I like to take advantage of the arbitrage between Gatehub and Bitstamp :)

Toastwallet, nice interface, noob friendly and I think their adding purchasing power soon for xrp with a credit card on the next update

Hope that helps

I've been reading many recommending the Ledger Nano ...could this option work for my situation as well to access and transfer my Ripple Wallet XRPs?

.... again I've been locked out of my Gatehub account 2FA due to changing my mobile device

Thanks

@vrippled

I have a ledger blue, as far as I know you can't enter a ripple secret key into the device and have access to your coins

you can create a ripple address within the Ledger, but have to activate it with 20 xrp

you are given a 24 word passphrase, that is your secret key to all the type of cryptos (whichever Ledger supports) you store on the Ledger
