This is not the reason I thought I’d have an erection on Valentine’s Day...

This has got to be the single most bullish community on the face of the earth. Asset dips = "EVERYONE BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY" Asset dips more = "EVERYONE HODL HARD, HODL THE FRONT LINE, GIVE TH

Completely, completely off-topic but since there's so much good news around today, I'm going to share my own that just came in. BMG have offered me a favourable worldwide distribution deal for my musi

#Gatehub down .. Yet again.  Whenever there is a serious dip in the price of XRP their website is unavailable.   Should I be moving all my zerps off their exchange?  I want a nano hardware wallet but have to wait until March for any to be available ...

Could sell you mine, amongst 20K Xrp on it. You get the Nano for Free. Zerps are $1.00 a piece:biggrin:

I dont smoke weed, and im not a big fan of hats. All i am saying is that the mayority of BTC is in hands of a few big players. They can cause a significant dip followed by all the panic sellers, scoop up cheap coins and repeat. You dont have to believe me, but i think this is the case. Everything is still linked to BTC in a big way.

Ok. So when they decide to sell or buy or whatever with all their BTC, how does that correspond to the entire market plummetting. I'm not saying their arent players who have influence but what they have a whatsapp group 'BTC whales' and they are all now giggling and timing their next synchronised buy and sell?? Sorry mate but its just absurd.

I JUST HOPE with this FALL, we are getting rid of TETHER. Anybody here care to INSPECT. This is very important!

@Hodor

I just know what I read.  But yes, it's causing market uncertainty.

Funny how there seems to be a war over Bitcoin price going on... There's obviously a Wall Street group betting against it, while some powerful interests behind Tether seem to use USDT to increase it?  At least, that's the predominant thinking.  If Bitfinex is under pressure for a Tether audit, but they come up "clean" then maybe that will calm things down?

Nobody really knows, but right now it looks like those that are shorting BTC are winning.  My hope is that this market stress leads to the "Great decoupling" of Bitcoin from the rest of crypto.  The rest of crypto is completely free to keep going up, but it's all psychological in the market right now.  People just have to believe and stop selling their crypto for cheap prices.  That simple.

It’s really not absurd.

Is Bitfinex operating under US Jurisdiction? Who is going to audit it?

I don't think we can see decoupling of Bitcoin without separate fiat to crypto pairs being established. It's really really difficult to have this if you need to transact via BTC to get in/out.
