InTime
Hi, I have purchased XRP on the Binance Exchange that I want to send some to a friend who just signed up on Binance, - to "jump start" them with some XRP. Forgive the beginner question but how do I do this? Both of us will be temporarily holding on the exchange. Thanks in advance.
crypto2libertas
go to deposite xrp tab and write down the address and the tag. When depositing XRP into your Binance account, you will need to enter the deposit address together with a “Tag” (specific to XRP). Should you enter your Tag incorrectly, there is a possibility that your XRP will be lost;
WrathofKahneman
To clarify a bit, if you are sending to a friend, your friend will need to go to the deposit tab. An address will be there to copy. You, in your account, will use the withdraw tab and send it to your friend's address.
Malloy
don't know about Binance, but some Exchanges that use "Tags" don't allow to transfer from one account to another...if that's the case, just use a desktop wallet in the middle... Send your Binance XRP to a Desktop Wallet (like the Rippex one) and then send back to your friend (don't forget the Tag (account number linked to the Ripple address) otherwise you'll loose your XRPs)
Flintstone
Be aware, 20xrp will be consumed on a new wallet if you use the above route.

Thank You for the reply so-she will send me the address(cut and paste in an email?) and I will copy that in the address box send? Please forgive this basic ? but I have done a search and have found no instructions for sending within the exchange between members who store their coins on the exchange.I thought that maybe they would have some protocol.Sometimes it is the most basic things that are not obvious. Your friend needs to click deposit xrp. Then they copy their deposit address and send this to you via email/message. You click withdraw xrp and paste the address your friend sent to you.
