Bitcoin Loosing It's luster

Recommended Posts

This feels very similar to when I was on Myspace and Facebook was bleeding them dry. If you don't innovate then another firm that is motivated to do so will tap into your marketshare.

Having said that, I'm of the opinion that these countless forks; BTCs fees, transaction times, scalability issues, and it being a faceless organization; and competition to the max, is what is leading to the Myspace to Facebook effect we are witnessing in real-time.

So Stripe, according to the article, is no longer using Bitcoin as of April because it has scaling issues - not to mention the problems with speed and cost.  It is looking at other digital currencies that apparently can be transferred very quickly, and low cost and won't having scaling (or forking) issues.  And keeping a lookout for such a coin, the article notes that Stripe's list of potential digital currencies that might meet these requirements are "ethereum, bitcoin cash, stellar and litecoin."

Are we really that early in this whole thing that the stunningly obvious choice - XRP - is not even on the list?

(not so sorry :p)

You win. Most people that call others out for trivial things like that usually break the biggest rule: comma splicing.

Lol, they list Stellar but not Ripple?

That completely and immediately discredits the author.

guys you gotta understand that Stripe have a vested interest in Stellar, which explains the lack of a Ripple/XRP mention
