RDD and WTC coins in wallet, how to actually use them?

Hi all,

Over 3 years ago I was active and had a Ripple wallet. I stopped using it and had some WTC and RDD coins on my ripple wallet in trust lines.
Since the Ripple Wallet has migrated to Gatehub, and forgetting how it actually worked with other altcoins in the Ripple wallet I am unsure what to do.

The RDD and WTC are under a r*** address, but will probably only sent to other ripple wallets.

I actually have no clue how and especially if I can use them, like exchange them for some dough.

I wouldn't mind sending a small reward to whoever can help me out here!

Regards,

All ripple based IOUs can only be redeemed with the issuer of those assets. Some people may be willing to trade for them (confident that the issuer will redeem/ honour them), this creates markets and order books.

If the issuer is no longer operative or has ceased operations then you are stuck with assets that no longer will be honoured and can not be redeemed

Thanks for your reply.

With the issuer of those assets, you mean the coins themselves?
Or the exchange I used to buy them? How to figure that out, because I don't really remember. There was one with a huge amount of coins 3 years ago, like almost all 100 back then..

No, the gateway or exchange that issued the asset. Ex: Bitstamp.USD

The currency/ asset is USD

It is issued/ backed by Bitstmap
