Hi,

Is there anyone on this forum that would like to help me with some Ledger Nano S issues I have.

Specificly I am looking for someone that can help me step-by-step to reset the device, getting a new 24-word seed and keeping all my wallets and private keys.

I fould some describtions on Reddit, but I am kind of a computer idiot, so I would like some more help.

Much appreciated.

Follow this guide to reset your Ledger nano S https://medium.com/@trionkidnapper/ledger-nano-s-resetting-the-device-9772af4cfbff

After u have reset it follow these steps: https://www.ledgerwallet.com/start ==> Click on "Configure My Device" and on "Watch Video Tutorials" for help.
Let us know if it worked and feel free to ask more questions if you run into problems.

If you need a NEW 24-word seed I guess you have to first transfer everything out of the ledger and then reset it and configure it as a new wallet and transfer your coins back to the new wallet addresses.

You can not keep your existing wallet addresses if you want a new seed. EDIT: The seed determines how the wallet addresses/keys are generated.

To reset it, just enter the wrong passcode 3 times. Voila, reset. Just make sure to park your coins elsewhere before you reset lol

Well you don’t even have to move your coins out of your wallet when you reset apparently.

I did move the Ripple out just in case, but no need to. :girl_sigh:

You can reset it, set it up as a new device, create new wallet(s), then reset again, restore the original seed, move everything from those wallet(s) to the new wallet(s) that you created on the new seed. Then the last step, reset, restore the new seed.

Quite a rollercoaster, but I’m back on the safe side.

Thanks for all the input.
